I strongly believe that the Suns were ed either way.
You Steve Nash sissy cuckolds sure love to milk that overrated 50 40 90 stat for all it's worth and then some.
I strongly believe that the Suns were ed either way.
Kerr, he tried to get them to play defense with the Shaq trade and it flopped. He has made some moves that didn't help the team. They could never beat the Spurs in the playoffs because they were a more offensive minded ballclub. The Spurs had an answer for them, defense. They had a legit shot at winning it all in 2006 and lost to the Dallas Mavericks in the WCF, that was their year and they couldn't get the job done.
They might be a playoff team again, but I think they are no longer legit contenders. If they have a good season and make the playoffs they could still give teams trouble.
If Amare was healthy the Suns win it all in 2006.
And their year was 2007. If they couldn't get it done in 2007 with the current group, they weren't going to get it done period.
That and he got "Nashed" like Culbern said.
The disgusting thing is that the majority of the SUNS fan base is buying this "We're going to be compe ive" rhetoric from the FO.
Just mention the term's SSOL or Nash is back and these ignorant fans just get wet in the crotch.
Kerr's intentions were solid upon arrival,my guess is that he's going to want out after this season. Sarver selling would the best thing that could ever happen to Kerr....and the team obviously.
That 2006 team was probably the most physically exausted team to ever reach the WCF. Losing Amare was huge obviously but again, a flawed system of running your guys into the ground, short rotation and no depth.
Its no coincidence that many SSOL injuries to Bell,Hill,Nash slowing down etc...happened late in the season.
But you know all of this already DOK.
Personally i think the '07 team was the best team DA put out there....mentally crippled, but in terms of talent that was a very good team.
I liked the Joe Johnson team best.
Joe Johnson was the last complete player on the Suns.
I think he's OK before this off-season.
The Suns was doomed when he took over. He took a gamble on Shaq's trade and unfortunately that didn't work out. So he went on to rebuild the team.
I just don't get why he would resign Nash and Hill, why he hasn't made the trade for Stoudemire to Warriors. These are 3 stupid move recently.
IF Amare is healthy, I don't think that is too much of a stretch--if by "compe ive" they mean a chance to be a playoff team.
If this current roster is what we're gonna roll out this fall then this will be one of the worst defensive teams ever to set forth on the hardwood.
Nash
Dragic> Meh
JRich
Barbosa
Hill> solid
Dudley> good
Clark(rookie) ?
Amare
Amundsen> meh
Frye
Lopez
The only guys that can play any "D" are Hill and Duds...and they play the same position. Also we're weakest at the two areas that IMO you've got to be strongest defensively....the point of attack(perimeter) and at the rim.
Kerr has no idea how to make a playoff team.
I think he flips a coin do decide whether or not to make his next move.
If he appears in LA and trades Gasol for Kwame Brown, I'll believe it.
The trade for Shaq was a -up of near-Isaiah Thomas proportions.
