Argentina will not lose against Brazil in their home, they might draw (or tie -Which one do I have to use on this case?) but they won't lose. Brazil has never beaten us playing in Argentina and I don't think they will now. Brazil has been winning lately but they aren't playing particularly well, in fact not to long ago they were in a worst position than us.

Let's hope Argentina will lose badly, then maybe people in Argentina will realize how horrible Maradona is (as a coach).

I know Maradona is horrible as a coach.
But, win or lose against Brazil, I will still love him.

If they did not realize this after the Bolivia massacre, do you really think they ever will???

    BTW, Brazil won in Bolivia

I don't think they will play much, if they get to play at all.

If Schiavi plays even 1 minute, it would be a miracle.

About Palermo, I want him to have a chance. Maybe 10 or 15 mins.
He made a HUGE mistake some years ago missing 3 penalty kicks in the same game. People will never forget it, and I don´t want him to be remembered like that.
He is one of the best argie scorers of the last 30 years. He deserves another chance, imo. I want him to vindicate.

he's a good player. But why didn't he succeed in Europe? Did he choose to stay in Argentina? I've always wondered why he didn't come during his prime in Europe.

    He played in Spain (Villarreal).
He was doing fine, getting used to the european style.
But he had bad luck. After he scored a goal, he went to celebrate with the fans, and a wall collapsed over his leg. Fracture. 6 months out.

After he came back, he struggled. It took him some time to get back to his previous level.

Unfortunately, he tore his ligaments twice iirc. We was out for 6 months a couple of times.

Anyway, he scored over 100 goals in Argentina and won everything a club can win locally and internationally.

He is not the most skilled player. I give you that. And he is like 34 or 35 years old now. Not exactly part of the future of the team.

Every team would love to have a "9" like him.

Yes. At Palermo´s position, we are struggling.
    No more Batistutas or Crespos.
Our forwards are Tevez, Messi, Aguero...all of them very skilled players, but midgets to play central forward.
Milito, Lavezzi, Salvio, Lopez...good scorers, but players who can´t hold a position against stronger players during corner kicks or free kicks.
I don´t expect any goals scored by headers if we don´t have a big and strong forward.

So these players are by your logic.

    Diego López Rodríguez
    Joan Capdevila
    Marcos Senna
    Santiago Cazorla

I don´t think they care, as long as they keep being selected for Spain NT.

I don't know why the Maradona doesn't call Higuain to the team, he has been Real Madrid's best player the last three seasons and he never had a chance.

If he wasn't RM's best player who was? I'm talking field player so no Casillas doesn't count.

And no he will not play for France, he has already said that it's Argentina or nothing for him. That's why he isn't playing for France right now. Domenech call him to play a friendly match and Higuain rejected him.

If somebody knows spanish go to any Real Madrid's forum and ask what they think about Higuain and his play during the last few seasons.

I know Higuain is doing well with Real Madrid.
But he is not exactly a big and strong forward.
I mean, the NT needs a pure scorer ala Bati, Crespo, Palermo, Valdano...
We have plenty of wing forwards who "create" offense, but we need a finisher.
This is just my opinion. We can play with Tevez, Messi ( who reportedly are the starters), and still win.
But I like the "1 outside, 1 inside " type of offensive scheme better.

    so let me see

    Sergio Ramos
    Cannavaro
    Diarra
    Raúl
    Heinze
    Van Nistelrooy

    For the second part

=> basically he said one month ago I'm honored that Domenech is interested but on top of that French NT is a world power and there is Benzema a great player so everything is possible.

Sorry but I have to laugh at this. Cannavaro, Heinze? They're hated in Madrid.

AS.COM's (one of Spain's most important sports magazines) made a poll this year (where Real Madrid's fans voted) asking who should be the starting forward: Raul or Higuain? and Gonzalo won by a large margin, then they made another one asking who was RM's best player and Higuain came 2nd only behind Casillas. So as you can see is not my opinion, it's what most RM's fans think.

I don't know what that says but here in Argentina Higuain himslef said just a few weeks ago that he never planned to play for France.

Since the galactics, madrid's fans hate defenders on principle.

You're always talking about real fans (who value more an offensive player), but what about spanish media and other fans opinions?
