I don't think Kerr ever really wanted the job. He just did it as a lark for his friend Sarver thinking it'd be an easy clean. And it is. He GM's in a vacuum. There is no expose by the local Media. He shuttled back & forth to San Diego. Sarver lost close to a billion dollars in the Crash so he can't unload after taking near quarter billion in bad paper off Colangelo at the sale.

They only coerced Nash & Hill to come back to re the OKC situation, but, the contracts go on for two years after that event is decided.

It's a mess.

Pretty good assessment, a mess. A GM who's only goal at this point seems to be ensuring a trade he made doesn't look any worse than it was (and is willing to overpay players to do so), an owner who IMO wants to sell the team now that he's realized he bit off more than he can chew, a team who's best asset has a bad eye and wants to be traded, and a bunch of pissed off fans.

Idk why this reminded me of it but,
