    They beat us, Buddy. Kobe blanched at 23 up third quarter, Game 4. Boston saw that and punished him the rest of the way. Now they own him. They know it, and so does Kobe. Like they owned Magic after '84. Magic found his place in the annals of NBA lore though. He went to another level and took everybody with him. I don't know if Bryant has that within him.

    granted they won...in 2008...but when facing a healthy regular season Laker squad last year with K.G both games they got spanked...Bynum too much down low for K.G and that ugly mutha ing center they have...but Kobe showed you last year what he has in him...and this year if Boston don't up and lose to Orlando that ass kicking from L.A awaits. Dude you can't stop the history that L.A is about to make.

    Buddy, the regular season is meaningless, especially in games involving these two franchises. Victories are fool's gold.

    Kobe firmed up, but, against just an awful array of teams in the playoffs. Houston was the only competent opponent and they were without Mutombo & Yao. Mutombo would have changed that series.

    Kobe proved his mettle Vs Portland a decade ago, but, that is ancient history. A lot of water has gone under the bridge since. Things have happened. Nobody has been spared. He's got to find his way to a higher plane if Boston is sitting there in June.

Thus you have the personal reasons excuse. I feel sorry for A.I in a sense....He never saw this Kobe dude coming up like gangbusters...his career is done.

    He was a of a player though...I tip my hat to his accomplishements.
