No trade will help. Bring in Dalembert, Camby, Gasol and even Garnett and Pop would still be playing Finley at the Power forward.

Yes. Of course. Finley is the most versatile player to ever play in the NBA.

what i think is if you are going to post a thread at least do some basic research to support your idea/theory, because when you don't you look like a in idiot.

here's a link for future reference:

sorry to be so harsh, but i see threads like this all the time and it s me how lazy people are - it takes about 20 seconds to look something up, but most people don't bother. This is what happens when you build a society around instant gratification.

as for dalembert, one-trick scrub. No way i'd bring him in. How about we have some patience with the excellent roster that has already been assembled?
    +1

Dalembert wouldn't work at all on this team..

He's a headcase, and he has arguably the lowest basketball IQ in the NBA..he would be in Pop's doghouse after a week or 2..

He definitely helps talent-wise, and could obviously use a shot blocker in the middle..he just wouldn't work here or on any team that wants to contend IMO..
How do you arguably know what his basketball IQ is?

I think his game fits, I just don't know if Pop would be able to tolerate him..he makes A LOT of ridiculously dumb plays..

Talent can't be questioned obviously, which is why he got that much $..

if the FO wants to take that contract and feel like Pop would like him, I'll be happy..

He's actually a really, really bad fit. He's one of the most inconsistent players in the league. At times he looks beastly, and others he is an absolute imbecile. Too often guilty of going strong for a block and either goaltending or losing position(blocking the shot but tipping it back to the other team; leaving his man wide open for a put-back)

He makes way too much money and has an additional year in the contract.

He has bad hands, makes poor decisions, and has a real confidence issue. He can't handle criticism and it's no secret. Eddie Jordan planned from day 1 to get SD a ton of touches early in the season/games. Otherwise he just s s up and commits a ton of fouls.

Realistically I don't think we make roster moves. I think the rotations are gonna change a lot and as we go on we'll see more Ratliff. What do you think? Who is available for not a ton of money? Would we take on a dude who's NOT in his final year of contract? Who do we move?

I really thought Ian would have at least gotten 5mpg to get his feet wet, but does this mean we're not gonna see him at all? Different positions, but is this the same for Haislip and Hairston?

Do you think there's an unannounced health issue for Ratliff? I'd believe it. He does have a history....
Now that I think of it, Ratliff sat out a lot of games in Philly last year. He seemed healthy but they just didn't go to him. I thought maybe it was cause Dalembert was so needy. After the playoffs Theo called the coaching staff out for poor decision making and locker room morale and essentially sealed his departure. I really hope there's no bad vibes in our locker room.

Can't believe this thread is still going.

Since it is, add this to the case against acquiring Dalembert. His contract includes a 15% trade kicker. So he will actually cost about 13.8M and 14.7M.
