I say LBJ finds a way to back out. He can't risk losing it from a marketing perspective unless he's guaranteed a loaded panel.
I agree... his game is power dunks and getting his head at the rim. He's a power athlete, compared to a guy like Kobe whos more of a natural, fluid athlete. For example, I dont think LeBron can do a 360 and make it look good like Kobe could, and I dont think judges will reward a one-legged windmill or hammer dunk just because he gets higher and throws it down harder than anyone else.

I agree here but not from the Kobe perspective ... Kobe is way past his dunking prime but I get the point ...the dunk contest should be Both Rudys (gay/Fernandez), Demar derozan (he can throw down), Shannon Brown, and maybe Lebron ...but I dont think his dunks are all that creative in the HS dunk contest they agve him made love for the height and power but even the best power dunkers (kemp, nique, Sky walker, nance etc.) has wayy more cretivity even in games they are effective and power statement but lake grace ...

LeBron would lose too much rep if he loses the dunk contest. It would forever put him behind Kobe if he loses. LeBron should have joined up years ago, I think it's too late now.

WOW! Great Shannon Brown dunks! Man, and those were just the pre-season ones and garbage time dunks when lakes are up by 20!!! I can only imagine how great his dunks would be in a real game or quality minutes... Oh wait, Maxiell already pwned that
