This thing looks re ed. Most of us figured it would suck when we heard "Karate Kid Remake", the rest lost all hope when we heard "Jackie Chan and Will Smith's son".
On top of the aforementioned issues of setting it in China is the way they teach things over there. From having read a biography of Jackie Chan once upon a time, there are places that start teaching kids martial arts and drilling them hard really young. It's practically Spartan. I could stretch my disbelief enough to think that a scrappy kid could learn karate "the right way" and overcome the odds to beat some punk kids from California in the original. These guys should stomp a mudhole in Lil' Bow Wow 2.0 and walk it dry.

Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of Will Smith but I hate how he is pushing his kid on the world. Now we have to hear how proud he is of Jaden and this is what he wants to do and he is a natural at it.....blah blah blah blah

I remember renting that game and how brutally hard it was. I had no idea it was only four levels.

A movie that is re ed by design is much better to me than a really bad one that's supposed to be taken seriously. I got you beat on sitting through though; I had to see Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End WITHOUT SLEEPING AT ANY POINT because I was there with my office and sitting near my boss. There were at least 6 times I thought that piece of was over, only to have it keep dragging on. Man, I should have just lied and said I was swamped and couldn't leave my desk that day.
Um...that was SUPPOSED to be a dumb/bad movie...so that's what made it somewhat funny...trying to remake a classic...eeeeeek...
Why not? He's already made so many ty movies since coming to the U.S. he might as well keep making .Jackie should not make this kind of ty movies.
I freaking loved that Karate Kid game.. I need to get on Ebay and get that game again. It was a pain in the ass though. Never made it past the storm level.
The new nightmare actually might turn out good.. I'm hoping they get rid of all the camp and make it scary again.

Funny.. Most of the games that Angry Video Game Nerd reviews I actually liked.. Simons Quests in particular.

Like Will Smith and Jackie Chan, but I hate kid actors. They need to get a 25 year old who looks 16 and then do it.
