Calm down Rocketfan, he was left off the list because he would have been an easy choice. Same reason Michael Jordan was left off the SG list. You guys get trolled when the person isn't even trying to troll you.
Why would anyone not pick Robinson?
Gary Payton
Clyde Drexler
Dr. J
Kevin McHale
David Robinson

Payton
Miller
Havlicek
McHale
Robionson
McHale is the best low post scorer on that list - put him with a defensive monster like Robinson and that is a of a frontcourt. I think Payton Havlicek and Miller all have skills that would compliment each other.
This is exactly what I would pick. Miller should never have been a number 1 option, with Mchale and Robinson in the paint and Payton dishing the ball Miller would be able to hit wide open threes all the time. Havlicek is the man and adds defense and toughness to the team. IMHO Payton in his prime is by far the best pg on the list, defensively and offensively.
Hmmm...he averaged 3 BPG over his career, including 4.5 BPG during his 91-92 season as well as DPOY honors in '92.
So, where exactly is the joke?
Gary Payton
Clyde Drexler
John Havlicek
Dennis Rodman
Dikembe Mutumbo
Though hard ass raping defense
Even Wilt Chamberlain can't score 30 points
Marcus Camby and Chris Andersen are some of the best defensive players of all time.
PG - Nash
SG - Reggie
SF - Anthony
PF - Garnett
C - Robinson
Payton
Miller
Erving
McHale
Robinson
Erving would be the guy on this team and everyone else would be great compliment players to his skill set. Basically I would surround DR. J with a shooter and some great defense.
Because the idiot national media always hyped the overrated Ewing as better.
My picks exactly. I'd like Payton's defense at the PG, but he was too much of a ball hawk so I'd go with KJ there.
Oooook. Not sure how that discredits what Dave did.
And, just for the sake of argument...
Camby's career block avg: 2.6 (also has earned the DPOY award once)
Anderson's: 1.6
Kevin Johnson
Reggie Miller
John Havlicek
Kevin Garnett
Dikembe Mutombo
Limited in the post, but the frontcourt defense is amazing. Johnson was a plus defender in his prime and Havlicek has been said to be a very good defender. Weekest link on defense is Miller, and he's a great shooter with unlimited range and a penchant for hitting big shots. Lastly, a KJ/KG pic-n-roll would be devastating. The team has great defense, very good offense, very good athleticism/quickness, good shooting and very strong rebounding. Post offense is the biggest issue, but with KJ, they'd get a ton of point in the lane from his dribble-drive/PnR ability.
Per 36 their blocks average are 3.1, 3.2, and 3.0
How many minutes does Chris Anderson play though.....
Good point. I hadn't factored that in.
However, it still doesn't diminish what Dave accomplished. He's averaged the same over his career.
Plus, and this is a bit off tangent, but I've always thought the "per 36" stats could be a tad inflated. It fails to account for fatigue. Who's to say Anderson would avg the same were he to get more minutes, whereas Dave actually PLAYED those minutes PER game.
Just ing with you tbh. Robinson was a great player. He's no me though.
not a whole lot of love for KJ besides the Suns fans....I think he would be my PG on that team.
Funny how most Suns fans are picking KJ over Nash.
I don't think too many remember the pre-injury KJ. He was as good a PG as there was in the Early 90's.
If he didn't have those injuries early on in his career KJ isn't too far below (if at all) below Isiah Thomas' level.
Gary Payton
Clyde Drexler
Julius Erving
Kevin Garnett
David Robinson
His prime FG% and A/TO ratio were better. I think his APG were better as well -NOTE: this is by taking the five best averages of each player, not a year-to-year timeframe.
Yup, I got really trolled. He sure showed me.![]()
