easier said than done. orlando is getting better as the season is moving along. nelson AND VC are rounding into form, finally finding their groove and building chemistry.
nelson and carter are both good at getting into lane and drawing attention so simply "staying home on the shooters" wont work when they create off the dribble. not to mention the shots in transition they get because dwights ability to block or change a shot to start a break.
you guys are right that howard isnt a good offensive player on the block against big teams, but the key is what you saw against the lakers sunday. in the first half pounding the ball down low was not working because the lakers are big and good defenders, so in the second half they were able to get him involved with SWIFT BALL MOVEMENT getting the LA bigs out of position and dwight so low they had to foul (and he got and1's everytime)
i dont think howard is overrated though because his true value is his presence defensively. i think thats the key for all big men. a guy like bosh can score but he has no defensive presence. that presence can make you a good team faster than a big who is just a great scorer.
