Why does anyone still try to pretend 360 > PS3?

Quite a few people run Verbatims on their 360, and that has a lot of appeal to them.

Killzone?

Resistance?

God of War? (The same game as Ninja Gaiden ROFL)

Infamous?

Little Big Planet?

Rachet and Clank?

Heavy Rain?

Gran Turismo? (Forthcoming obviously, but it's still a reason to own a Ps3)

MAG?

And coming in November is Final Fantasy XIV, which could be stellar, or could suck.

When's the last time the 360 released an exclusive, must have game? Mass Effect 2 doesn't count, as it's also out for PC and therefore not necessarily a reason that you "must" buy a 360.

Out of all of these listed the only one worth note is God Of War, the rest all suck balls.

Ill admit the PS3 as a system is better built and the blu ray makes it better. Exclusive games on PS3 (other than god of war) suck. Controler sucks. The live system sucks.


Xbox live is what I bought my Xbox and 360 for. The Halo series and Gears of war series are bad ass and on live is fun as . I haven't played Mass Effect 1 or 2 but they are on my list.

Act like it. At this stage in your life, you should be able to afford both (if you so choose). It doesnt matter which one is better when you own both.

I play both, but I seem to be playing PS3 a uva lot more lately (FF13, GoW3, UC2) while every game that has come out for Xbox lately is something I can get on PC, which curbstomps any console.

You're right, no one has a gaming PC these days. That's why World of Warcraft (a pay per month game!) has over 11,000,000 subscribers. A lot of hardcore gamers DO have multiple systems, and a PC is very bit as viable as having two consoles, and probably nearly as common, especially considering extremely powerful GPUs are in fact less than $150 to buy now.

I think you have comprehension problems. I shouldn't have to explain this to you, a PSP version of any game is going to be a stripped down mobile version of the game. ANY game released for PC is going to be equal to or completely superior in every way to a console, aside from sports/fighting games.

No, it happened because every drunken fratboy on the planet bought a 360 and started wanking to Halo and talking about how hardcore of a gamer he is because he learned how to play one FPS game. Just like you, balli, claiming how badly Ps3 games suck when you clearly haven't even touched them, and may not even have watch them demoed.

I have repeatedly commented on the merits of the 360, and the quality of games they have produced during the first year's of the console's existence. I think it's a very good system, and produces some spectacular games. It's true that I feel the Ps3 is better, but who has an inferiority complex here? Me, or the guy saying "HA HA EVERYTHING PS3 SUX I KNO BEKUZ IT SEZ SONY XBOX 4 LIFE LULZ"

Yeah thats a good point, it really doesnt matter which is better. I have really been considering get a PS3 just for the God Of War series. I played a bit of UC2 at the Sony store and it seemed pretty cool. You are also right about PC beaing better than any console. I need to upgrade computers when Star Craft 2 comes out.

I was never a of of the X-Box because it's made by Microsoft. Then there is the HD-DVD vs. Blu-Ray.

I never bought the HD drive for the Xbox but I used to argue with my friend that blu ray was gonna win the war and he used to say no Hd will win cause of the xbox. I had a blu ray player and he had his HD drive. LOL it was funny when HD folded cause he said it was gonna come back. A year later blu ray is still going strong.

No you're not. I bought mine about 6 months after it came out and never had a RROD either.

I have no use for a Blu Ray player, so that was never really a plus for me. And I was tempted to get a PS3, but up until recently it was way too expensive compared to the 360.

Thankfully, the latest generation of 360s seem to be much more dependable.

The Ps3 has it's own problems.. My first Ps3 had an error on it that caused the drive to completely crap out and not read blu-rays. Off hand I can't recall what they called it but a lot of other owners had this same issue.

I own both.. I would say the vast majority of people that feel 360>Ps3 are saying so because (and these are my reasons) the dashboards is much easier to move through, online is much easier to move through/ find your friends/ start games with them, most of their friends are playing live and not on a Ps3, the conroller for the Ps I personaly have never liked and I don't think it is a better FPS controller then the xbox.

When it comes down to it.. I own both.. I will buy exlusives that are good that the Ps3 offers.. otherwise any multi game I am getting on 360 because live is 100 times better than the psn and because I perfer the 360 controller..

To me.. other then the 3 times a month I might actually play a game on the Ps3.. it makes a good blu-ray player.. and that's it.

So no people are pretending.. I would say (as sales show) that people actually perfer the 360 over the ps3.. and I'd say most of those sales on the ps3 is because its has a blu-ray player in it.

I was all set on being a Ps3 fanboy 5 years ago. Well 5 years is a long time and it's not even close anymore 360>PS3.

There are a few thing I like about the PS3.

1. Playstation Home is great. Way better then the Mii360 avatars. To me it's truly brilliant and the potential is amazing. I would like to see Microsoft come up with something like this and use the Natal to be able to import your true image into a social network.

2. Few good exclusives. 360 has more but PS3 has it's share of great games. Metal Gear Solid to me is the most overrated series of all time and I have thought that even back on the PS2. The next one is coming for the 360 so it's no longer exclusive. Heavy Rain blew my mind. It's not a game for everyone but it looked incredible. I played FF13 right after Heavy Rain and it made FF13 graphics look like it was from an older generation console.

3. It is the best Blu-ray player. Not much else to say about that, it stands on its own.

4. More functions then the 360. The Ps3 is closer to an PC then an other gaming console before it. So you can plug in most devices that you put on a computer in a PS3. I haven't seen this stuff used that much but it is there.

But there are several things that are just bad and annoying on the PS3 and I will get into them in another post.

The BR player is the reason I bought the PS3. My 360 doesn't get much use these days.

Personally, I don't think it looks great, just not my kind of game. But MS Game Studios doesn't publish ty games. They just don't. Never have. Probably never will.

Plus, I'm of the opinion that delays are a good thing. I'd rather they get it right, than release a substandard product. Sometimes ambition costs more time than a developer thinks it will. And that's okay.

See. This is what pisses me off so much. I have never started a thread disparaging the ps3. I don't think anybody has. If so, very ing rarely. I don't ever make comments that go out of the way to mock the ps3. I don't really care. I really don't.
