It's pretty ing obvious that the Playstation 3 s all over the 360 in every possible way. Yet still there's all kinds of 360 fanboys running around.
Every single person, EVERY SINGLE PERSON, that I have ever known personally that has had a 360 has had it red ring or break, including myself. After finally getting a PS3 I have to say it owns the out of 360. I used to love Xbox and kinda bought into that hype that 360 was better and had better games but overall it's just garbage. All it really has going for that PS3 doesn't is Halo 3, which ain't saying much.
ps3 has two, count it two game franchises that 360 doesn't (that are worth it). Uncharted and Demon's Souls. And even though they're supposedly awesome those s don't even begin to compare to Mass Effect and everything Valve has and ever will make. And Halo Reach is going to be better as well.
And I like having a dashboard and online experience, that are y'know, a billion times better.
And the 360 controller curbstomps the ps3's into hundreds of little pieces.
I find ps3 doesn't have as many exclusives that the 360 has, nor does it get dlc as quickly. Seems like some platform-wide ports often run better on the 360 also.
On the otherhand, the online for ps3 is free, and that winds up being a pretty big deal. It doesn't seem as efficient though. Live seems to just flow better than the psn.
The controllers for the ps3 are tons better imo, and I like that the ps3 let's me actually use a usb headset I can easily switch to my pc and back to it to talk, even though I had to buy it sold seperately. The ps3 controller I got came with a charger, whereas the 360 just said find some batteries.
As for the breakage, yes my 360 red ringed on me, but I got a replacement from microsoft within one week, no shipping cost either. Reliable or not, they do seem good about replacing it. Gonna cringe when that deal is up though.
As for ps3 issues, mine is having difficulty reading discs off and on. DVDs are also randomly freezing to the point where I have to watch a dvd on my regular dvd player. Crap like that may be less frequent for the ps3, but it still happens, and they don't go out of their way like microsoft has to remedy the situation I've found.
Not knocking either system, I own both and enjoy both, but frankly when it comes down to being given the choice which system to buy a cross-platform game for I'll take the 360 version of it nearly everytime if they're the same price.
Not to mention XBLA and the marketplace. There are a lot of examples, but hands down, two of the best games in recent years were Shadow Complex and Braid. As good as any game that costs $60 off the shelf. Good job ps3 on getting Braid a year and a half later. I don't believe you're ever getting Shadow Complex.
And before anyone brings up God of War... I already played that when it was a lot more challenging and called Ninja Gaiden.

When's the last time the 360 released an exclusive, must have game? Mass Effect 2 doesn't count, as it's also out for PC and therefore not necessarily a reason that you "must" buy a 360.
I used to want to play mgs4. Now all I hear in hindsight is people making fun of how lame and overly serious and boring it was.

This just in, your opinions about games that have consistently been some of the highest rated games over the past year. Your one line criticisms outweigh the thousands of gaming critics and players that have actually, you know, played the games you're talking about in ignorance (as from what your response is, it seems you haven't played many or any of them).
You not liking racing games... how does that make the Ps3 less appealing to the average gamer, who most definitely DOES like racing les?
The 360 didn't have a single exclusive last year nominated for Game of the Year. The Ps3 had anywhere from 2 to 4 games up for the nomination. I guess if you're still into playing Gears of War and Halo 3, the 360's lineup is still better. 3 year old games FTW.

Isn't there an MGS coming out for the 360? I wasn't sure if it was gonna do the MGS4 stuff with little additions or what I haven't looked much into it.
I know of infamous but never really saw any gameplay of it only heard good things.
Don't knock alan wake! That games gonna be epic. The fact they didn't rush it out only says good things about it.
At $299, the PS3 is just a better deal because of its Blu-ray capabilities. I'm glad I have both.
I have not played Killzone but I can vouch for Demon's Souls - it's a must have.
Yeah, Resistance (both) is (are) AWEsome. R&C is FAR from "lame". Infamous was pretty great, though, I still preferred Prototype.
And, ya know, Blu-Ray continues to rock my face off.
The Ps3 has it's own problems.. My first Ps3 had an error on it that caused the drive to completely crap out and not read blu-rays. Off hand I can't recall what they called it but a lot of other owners had this same issue.
I own both.. I would say the vast majority of people that feel 360>Ps3 are saying so because (and these are my reasons) the dashboards is much easier to move through, online is much easier to move through/ find your friends/ start games with them, most of their friends are playing live and not on a Ps3, the conroller for the Ps I personaly have never liked and I don't think it is a better FPS controller then the xbox.
When it comes down to it.. I own both.. I will buy exlusives that are good that the Ps3 offers.. otherwise any multi game I am getting on 360 because live is 100 times better than the psn and because I perfer the 360 controller..
To me.. other then the 3 times a month I might actually play a game on the Ps3.. it makes a good blu-ray player.. and that's it.
So no people are pretending.. I would say (as sales show) that people actually perfer the 360 over the ps3.. and I'd say most of those sales on the ps3 is because its has a blu-ray player in it.
Mag is terrible.. I can't believe that was mentioned trying to show that PS has good exclusives.
The majority of console gamers are not running around with a gaming PC.. I can not stand when that excuse is used... if we are debating which is better.. the PS3 or 360 why exactly can someone not use a game that is on the 360 and not on the PS3 because it's also on the PC.. whatever the is on a PC has no reason to be mentioned in the subject.. unless you want me to say you can't use LBP because it's also on the PSP.
Oh and to answer your question how about next week when the splinter cell game comes out.
it.... you can't use little big planet.. metal gear solid.. killzone.. Rachet and Clank... Resistance.. and God of War because I can go out and buy a PSP and play those games in some form.
I didn't think it was so bad when I was sniping but then I played the Badcompany 2 demo it made it look really weak so despite my hate for gamestop I traded it in for 36 bucks which was a good deal imo.
That's pretty damn good.. I've stopped trading in games there after they offered me 15 bucks for A.Creed 2 after it was out for a month.. this 15 bucks was including a promotion they had going that added something like 20 percent and my card which added 10.
I caught them at a good trade in sale period where they actually gave you a somewhat fair deal, it only lasted til march 17th.
They gave 50% more on trade ins as long as you were taking it as a card to spend at their store.
the 360 IS better than the ps3.

getting all of the DLC's first >>>> PS3
better exclusives
oh, and actually paying for service means you get better service.

NEW XBOX 360 CONSOLE UPDATE
Right on schedule, Microsoft has introduced support for USB memory devices on its Xbox 360 console.
The added feature, available now via a mandatory system update, allows users to attach a USB-based storage device for easy memory expansion.
The storage can be used to store gamer profiles, saved games, demos and a variety of content from Xbox Live Marketplace, and will come as a welcome solution to users who have struggled to justify the costs associated with Microsoft's proprietary Xbox 360 hard drives.

I wouldn't use an update for a feature that should've bee introduced in 2006 as an example though.
But back to the subject, I own both. Both are great. Uncharted, Ratchet, MGS, GT5 are great. ME series, Forza, Halo, XBL are awesome. They both serve me well. fanboyism.

I'm a fan of 360 moreso than PS3, because nearly all my friends have Xboxes, and only my rich friends had PS3's. Sure, the PS3 is cheaper now, but I only have so much dough to spread around. I'm not spending 300 on a console for the few exclusive games it has that I want to play (LittleBig, Heavy Rain, God of War). I'll just go to my rich friend's house and play them.
