It seems pretty clear that whoever makes it out of the West is gonna get steam rolled by Orlando or Cleveland. So far the West looks like it's just 8 teams, none a whole lot better than the other playing games decided by which team can out-gameplan its opponent and which team can hit their shots. Coaching is more important than ever in the West this year, which makes me think SA will kill Phoenix, as I expect Popovich to royally rape Gentry as he did to D'antoni if the two teams play each other.

Orlando has no shot at winning the east if the Cavs are healthy. The best fight they'd put up would go MAYBE 6 games if things fall into place for them. Orlando is scared of Cleveland. Cavs are also too deep and too good. However, while Orlando has no chance in , they are the only team who can make it semi-interesting against the Cavs in a 7 game series.
If the spurs don't make it to the Finals, I'm going for the mavs. if mavs don't make it, i'm going for the fakers out of mutual respect for our decade long shared dominance.
if fakers don't make it, i'm going for the suns. if suns don't make it...i don't know, it doesn't matter but I'm going for the western conference team.
It's a conference pride thing at that moment in time. You want the west to win, to reassert the dominance we used to have.
Why does no one realize that the most reliable winning strategy in the NBA is "just shooting some shots?"
