No need here for trash talking "lol Mavs" threads. The Spurs just went out against a team they were supposed to beat, did what they were supposed to do, and beat a team they were supposed to beat. Nothing personal against the Mavericks, but are they aware that they are putting two Washington Wizards in the game in crucial moments in a heated Western Conference matchup? This Mavericks team is far less dangerous than the Harris/Howard/Stackhouse version a few years back. No big surprises tonight. As the favorites to win the series, this was just a routine win for the Spurs, nothing big. Shooting pretty much the same amount of free throws as Dallas, the Spurs showed that they don't need to be +20 in free throw attempts to win a playoff game. When the Spurs just play their game, they win. Dallas is only good when they make shots. But as I've asked with other ty/fluke teams in the past...what happens when the shots don't go in? Two Washington Wizards, Erick Dampier, and Eduardo Najero can't get the job done when Dirk isn't hitting shots. Spurs in 5.
