Parker 3 rings, and one finals MVP begs to differ. Bottom line when Parker is on he can dominate as much if not more than any other point guard in the league.

    Deron > CP3 > Parker > Rondo > Nash

I'm probably biased putting Parker before those two but whateva I do what I want.

Deron saying that actually caught me off guard. I've never heard him go to the media and say some like this but hey the guy can back it up so let it be. Jazz still won't be winning a Ring anytime soon.

Parker outplayed Williams when it mattered last playoff series between the two - Paul and Williams fabulous guards but win a friggin ONE le or EVEN MAKE A FINALS before calling them superstars or laughingly undoubtedly the best in the game - the PG is supposed to QB the team and if all they do is put up stats big friggin deal - that is the problem with the media annointing non winners!

I like CP3 a little bit more. So, very very close, though.

Deron is a tougher matchup for opposing PG because of his size. Which is why he continually bends over Chris Paul when they go head to head.

In fact Paul's defense is vastly overrated solely due to the fact he snatches so many steals.

Paul is averaging 20/9/4 against Williams in the past two seasons. Deron is averaging 16/11/3

Archer is a ty cartoon show btw.

    check the stats

    Game 1
Deron Williams 34 points and 9 assists
Tony Parker 21 points and 6 assists

    Game 2
Williams 26 points and 10 assists
Parker 17 points and 14 assists

    Game 3
Williams 31 points and 8 assists
Parker 25 points and 7 assists

    Game 4
Williams 27 points and 10 assists
Parker 17 points and 2 assists

    Game 5
Williams 11 points and 2 assists
Parker 21 points and 5 assists

Parker only out played Williams in the last game. And Bowen was guarding Williams most of the time in that series.
Damn, dude, you just owned him.

In 2008-2009 Parker had a higher PER than Williams http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/holli.../_/position/pg and this year it flipped due to primarily Parker's injury - Not putting Williams down as he is simply a stud and a physical stong man but the reality is when both are healthy there is little to separate Parker and Williams - Parker is quicker and has shot an even higher percentage from the field than Deron and has become a fine defender. Williams has the strength and is also a fine passer but in the Spurs system Parker also is not as free to operate as Williams appears to be.

Parker in the head to head series also did not gun as much as Williams and the bottom line won the series. Williams has to get to at least one finals to be the true top PG in the league - he has all the ability to do so, but do it before blowing your own horn so much. Give me Stockton any day in that regard - modest true all time great without blowing his own horn all the time.

Have you ever watched a Jazz game? Their offense is just as structured (if not more structured) as the Spurs' offense.

    Stop being an idiot.

If you're using PER, Chris Paul blows both of them away. So, what is it: PER or championships?

Listen I agree that Paul and William are probably 1A and 1B but Parker deserves to be in the discussion as 1C (ala champion winner and a finals MVP, as is Billup - a very under-rated PG by many) and he also has had two years over 50% from the field.

I love Williams game by the way and if starting a team de novo would love him and probably make him the top pick (or possibly also Rondo) for his size and strength and quickness but there are many fine PGS including Paul, the statistical PER genius or Parker who can drive opposing defense batty with his quickness depending what I had at other positions.

Parker isn't in the same hemisphere as Paul and Williams.

It's so cheesy to say this yourself. Why not maintain some class and let other people say it if they feel that way? Like Durant. Durant would never say something like this. Duncan would never say something like this.

Also, Deron Williams carries the ball on every single possession. His crossover is an abomination of NBA rules. He has the ugliest game of any point guard ever to play in the NBA.

Deron Williams is...his jumpshot is super wet... he can get like 20 and 10ast every game

When u have a guy that can shoot like that and dish the rock like he does...and also take it to the hole strong ...then of course he's the best PG in the league

...Nash is a close second tho

    D. Williams > Nash >CP3

I would trade Parker and his 3 championships/Finals MVP for Deron in a heartbeat. Parker is a great player but Deron Williams is just better and will be better for longer.

Yeah, def have to give props to Steve Nash. Even if he isn't the best PG in the league anymore, he's still the MVP of his team and the best player by far. Not easy to spoonfeed your PF's and run the offense at his age.
