The Mavs always beat themselves. In fact, they haven't legitimatly been beaten in nearly eleven years now, it's either their own choking or the NBA/referee conspiracy that kills them.

You know what? I'll take it. Enjoy the summer. If the Spurs get swept by the Suns I'll be perfectly content that they ended Dallas' season.

Get over yourself, you've got zero class and you're a perfect representative of the Dallas Mavericks fanbase and their superstar. A massive sense of en lement and arrogance, then intense whining when you don't get your way.

What do you expect, the guy's butt hurt. #2 seed beat in 6 by the #7 seed which shut a lot of people up about the Spurs.

To say the Mavs are the better team is stupid. We clearly beat you in 6, had your chances to beat us but couldn't close it out...and yeah, some of it was on the Mavs..but to think San Antonio had nothing to do with your losses makes you seem like more of an idiot. We had players step up and finish on both ends of the court while Dallas played like pussies in crucial times BECAUSE of the Spurs and their great defense.

Stealing the Spurs credit for winning the series just shows how upset you are that your season was once again cut short by the BETTER TEAM. Typical Mavs fan, trying to downsize a team that is clearly better than the other.

I like Dirk and thats not only coz I'm from germany.
Is he a choker? I dont think so...but he isnt a killer like Wade/Kobe either.
I hated the Kidd trade even though I love him as a player, but have to say: It probably was the right thing to do.

I have to like Haywood/Damp as the bigs!

But after all I would no way in trade my beloved Spurs for them. Do I really think, that we will get the fifth this year (or for that matter the next 5 years)? No, I dont, but as long, as there is a chance, I will root my heart out for that team!
Do I believe the Mavs are in better shape than the Spurs? Terry done, Dirk thinking about his option, Kidd nearly done, Marion not his former self,... Why should I? Coz of Cuban? To say the truth: I believe that he is part of your problem. I like him in general, but he is doing too much! Lets see: Tony, Manu, Duncan, Hill are our best 4 players and all of them where drafted by us! You have Dirk and a lot of players changing teams every now and then!
What about the time after Timmy, Manu, Pop? There will be a time, when we wont make the playoffs, but with such a great organisation, which does the right things, can develop players and beeing able do draft well, we should be in great shape, even in those times! We have guys like Hill and Blair and starting with them, this organisation can do a lot of things, if given some time. I'll take that over Cubans spending every year, not winning a single ship!

If any, there is only one team, that can compete with us in those regards and thats the zombi sonics...but they are so young, that you cant really say!

Ummm... yeah. Championship teams don't beat themselves, and they don't collapse. The Mavs were a "better team" than the 8th-seeded Golden State Warriors, but they collapsed and beat themselves that year too.
