quick question: If the Spurs are the most dangerous team in the league, then they could beat Cleveland or Orlando in a 7 game series?
    Could?

    Yes.

    That was an easy question.

That Marion contract is gonna hurt.
He gave him that hoping that it would make Marion focus on D and sacrifice his offense for the good of the team. Unfortunately, Shawn "Me>Melo" Marion still chunked up a few too many shots. How he missed that many layups is beyond me.

But yeah that contract was gonna hurt regardless. How bad will he be in 3 years?

Dumb thread trying to pin this on Dirk due to some intangible factors you can't prove exist.

Story of this series is the Mavs backcourt was severely outplayed by the Spurs. Barea/JET/Kidd <<< Hill/Parker/Ginobili.

Wow you're re ed. Do Dangerous teams generally blow 22 point leads?
DoK, the Spurs are notorious for blowing big leads and have been for the past decade. That's nothing new.

I think the Spurs lack of performance in the Dallas series speaks volumes about their team. They played ONE game as a cohesive unit (Game 2) and they wiped the floor with the Mavs that night. Other than that, they didn't play all that well. At the beginning of this series, if you had told me that the Spurs win Game 3 without hitting a three-pointer and win Game 4 with Ginobili/Parker/Duncan going 9-34...I would've said you're crazy.

The role players (i.e. Hill, McDyess, Blair) picking up the slack is what has this team glaring with potential and has some calling them "dangerous." Doesn't mean they're going anywhere, though.

Right. We haven't seen the Spurs play their 'A' game in the playoffs yet.

They've had some strong quarters and closed out games well, but they still haven't had one of those games where everything is clicking. If the role players can step it up, I think they can take it to another level.

    1. Game two?
    2. George Hill has definitely stepped up. When the big three kinda got worn out a bit, Hill killed us. Although thats partly due to the worst trio of perimeter defenders maybe in the league, that doesn't take away from the shots he was making. Seems like a tough kid.
