It's all a joke anyway.
We all know who is the GM who had the most impact this year.
Kobe.
RC deserves consideration, but they usually give it to teams that all of the sudden get better and make playoffs after not making playoffs the year before.
The Spurs are always good, so they get overlooked.

For the record, I wrote too quickly and didn't finish my thought -- the Spurs are the only West team to repeat to Round 2. I thought I had written that, but upon re-reading saw that I didn't. My bad and those who caught it were right to call me on it.
I still think, given the finds of Parker, Ginobili, and even Udrih, guys who have gelled with Tim Duncan to push this team to continue to make solid playoff runs, this front office deserves some credit. It's not just about having a lone superstar. Teams with David Robinson alone didn't reach Round 2 on some occasions, even losing to inferior opponents in Round 1. The Spurs are lucky to have Duncan, but having one superstar isn't a guarantee that you'll compete for les.
