No, he has never won the award.
If he doesn't win it this year, it would be a shame.
No, he has never won the award.
heats gm might win it with getting shaq
clevands gm got canned
Yeah, he is a great GM and i'm not too sure if he has won it yet.
pacers gm needs to be canned
all hotheads on the pacers= bad things
Two Spur execs have...
Angelo Drossos in 1977-78
and Bob Bass in 1989-90
link
I almost think heat's gm has this locked up getting shaq
or if they want to the suns could get all the awards and the gm for the suns could get it
Every additional individual award the Suns receive just makes each one more ludicrous.
Here's a list up through last season (to augment Mikey's link)

The whole League knows what R.C. has done, but keep in mind, he's been under Pop's protective wing for most of the time.
Of course not.
Im sure either Joe Dumars, Pat Riley, or Colangelo will win.
Gotta keep the "Fun" teams happy.
That's crazy! Everyone knows the reason Shaq chose Miami was due to the weather and the fact that it's the closest thing close to LA (lifestyle wise) that he'd be able to find.![]()
Pop should have won GM of the year at least once.
Popovich should have won GM of the year in 99.
Either 99 or 2003.
But no, those years it went to Joe Dumars, and Geoff Petrie of the Kings.
I think its crazy that R.C. has never won the award. The spurs are by far the best in the NBA at scouting talent. The spurs managed to resign Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili for less than market value.
Buford is a puppet.
well then, his master is doing a of a job. Spurs are the only team to repeat into Round 2 from last year, and they've made it at least this far every year since 2000 and all but two years since 1995.
Actually, weren't the Pacers, Pistons, and Heat in the second round last year?? Also, can't remember if Dallas was or if they lose in the first round.
R. C. has only officially been the GM for 3 or 4 years now, right?
Brian Colangelo may win this because he added Nash and Q as FAs before the season and then Outlaw, Jim Jackson, and Walter McCarty. Barbosa was a nice draft pick a couple of years ago.
Yes you are correct 1Parker1 those are the only three teams left in the playoffs this year who were in the second round of last years playoffs.
Robert Horry is a better GM then...he's made it to the second round of the playoffs every single year of his career.
Riley will get it. Like it's a big ing challenge convincing a media like Shaq to move to South Beach.
No, he hasn't, although he has deserved it for some time now, especially this year.
