Celtics pick Wallace to start at center in Game 7
Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers says Rasheed Wallace will start at center in Game 7 of the NBA finals.
Wallace is replacing Kendrick Perkins, who sprained ligaments in his right knee Tuesday night in the first quarter of Boston’s 89-67 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Rivers joked that he went with Wallace over Glen “Big Baby” Davis for Thursday’s game because “he’s old. I figured I’d play the oldest guys.” Rivers added he thought Wallace would make a good combination with Kevin Garnett and would help space the floor for point guard Rajon Rondo.
Wallace, signed by the Celtics over the summer, played for Detroit in the NBA finals’ last Game 7, a loss to San Antonio in 2005.
Pregame show starting on ABC now.
Whatever the outcome is, I just hope the officiating is good..it better not be too soft..
lol magic is a laker homer but why is john barry a boston homer? did his dad play there or something?
I heard Perkins has ligaments in his knee that might be torn, does that mean he's not playing tonight?
I just saw Kendrick Perkins in suit, it's gonna be hard to play in that, unless of course he doesn't play, then that would be karma for 2008 when Bynum and Ariza were injured.
Christina Aguilera again?...Couldn't afford anyone else?
I had when people "sing" sustained notes like that.... lol
So when is Perkins going to make his Willis Reed moment?
