I have completely started to ignore everyone who tells me the main reason Parker is tradeable is because George Hill is ready to run the point.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure none of these idiots at BSPN actually watched how poorly at times George ran the offense. Chris Broussard is a complete moron and tool that has been suggesting the team move Parker since May. The guy is an idiot and just spouts the company line about moving Parker.

Hey, I got a better idea. Why not let these guys (Duncan, Ginobili & Parker) and the front-office decide when it's time to break up the core? I wish these idiots were around when the 1980's Celtics and Lakers were finishing up their runs. Would they've suggested to move Parish and Worthy to help improve their respective teams?

I would like to get Rudy Gay but I doubt the Grizzlies will part ways with him even if they know 100% he will leave for another team. Parker in a sign and trade for Lee is rediculous, just stop.

It's funny how you can hear the sound of a guy's voice when reading some of their work; not as funny as the suggested trade ... but funny nonetheless . . .
damn i thought i am only one who feels that way......lol

Why would Memphis do Gay for Jefferson? Trading for Jefferson makes sense for teams that want cap space, but Gay isn't on a long deal. He's a free agent.

They would do it to get something back in return instead of letting Gay walk for nothing.

they can get some value for gay and also they get an expiring contract for cap relief....

thats the reason broussard said sign and trade....

If you want cap relief, signing and trading away one of your restricted free agents for a huge contract (even if only for one year) is the opposite of what you want. They can get cap relief right now by just letting Gay walk.

If Jefferson is the best offer they get for Gay, they're better off either matching any offer he gets or letting him loose.

I don't know which is stupider. Trading Parker for Lee and having no point guard, or the thought that Memphis would take a worthless player with a huge expiring when they can just let Gay walk for nothing. Or maybe it would be option #3, which would be paying Rudy Gay a contract big enough to work in a sign-and-trade for Jefferson. Lots of really dumb crap in that article.

Jefferson for Gay, yes (but not going to happen), but we have to keep Parker. As has been stated, George is no pure point - he can run the team for a few minutes here and there, but he's not ready to lead the team.

He is saying that Memphis ends up with Al Jefferson, SA with Rudy Gay and Minnesota with Jefferson and the contract off their books so they can continue their brilliant rebuilding job...

Alternative Advice: Why not offer Jefferson to Memphis in a sign-and-trade for Rudy Gay? Jefferson's expiring contract may appeal to the financially struggling Grizzlies, and Gay would be a lovely fit, game-wise and personality-wise, in San Antonio. If the Spurs can couple that with a Parker-for-David Lee sign-and-trade, they could be in business.
I realize there is a lot of hate for Broussard on this board, but I actually like the proposed sign-n-trade for Rudy Gay, in exchange for RJ. RJ simply isn't a good fit, but Gay would be more of an immediate impact and probably solidify the 3-spot for the Spurs for many, many years to come. I like the idea.

Good move for the Spurs, absolutely zero reason for Memphis to do that trade.

Honestly the RJ for Gay makes sense.

RJ is an expiring deal, he would fit in with their run and gun system, plus it saves face with the people of Memphis with getting something for Gay.

I like Gay, a bit of a gunner but would fit in a tad better than Jefferson IMO.

Obviously this will not happen AT ALL, but, its fun to think about having Gay Splitter Duncan Manu and Parker out there.

In what world would the Grizzlies want to trade Gay for RJ? If they need money, they'll let Gay go.. If they don't need money they'll resign him or sign and trade him for someone worth it.. Any trade for RJ would be completely re ed from the Grizzlies management as theirs no reason to trade for him..

George Hill ready to take over as the starting point guard, the Spurs may have to use Parker as trade bait to improve the club.
    This guy is a moron
