    This doesn't seem to be as much an issue with the players actually playing in Europe, since their season is so short, like 30-40 games. It only becomes a factor at 80-100 games for NBA players.

    BTW I disagree with what you've been saying about there not being any reason to pay him less than the full MLE. While you're right in saying that we won't go out and sign anyone with any portion left under the MLE I do think that they need to stay as far under the luxury tax as possible.

    There are a lot of young players on this team as you just pointed out and the difference between carrying one or two of them maybe whether or not we are approaching LT territory. This is also why I hope to god the Bonner contract is not as bad as advertised and that RJ signs for a low amount as well.

    Sorry but still pisses me off.
    His buyout was re ed.. Ask a rocket fan, he'll fill in on the details, but I believe that teams could only pay a certain amount and Scola ended up paying a big chunk of his own money to play in the NBA.
    Yao helped him with a shoe deal to help him get some change back, that's about all I know about that.
