I think it's wise for the Spurs to take hard looks at the NY roster along with the Clippers roster and see what they would like in return.
I don't think Tony turns down max money and the chance to play in either LA or New York. I'm sure his wifey would be on board either way as well.
The fact that she's a south Texas girl and a Spurs fan might actually help him to stay.

I agree with you, but I think she'd be equally as excited to have him in LA with her, and he'd be very happy to be making max money, on a grand stage, and with a good team around him. I would think the only untouchable would be Blake Griffin. Del Negro got a raw deal in Chicago and is a good coach imo. Add John Lucas as an assistant coach and I think Tony would be going to a team with a good staff in place.
The only question is whether there is anyone on this roster the Spurs would want in return. Otherwise, it should be ride out the season to give our Spurs the best shot at a ring, and then just let Tony walk away at the end.
If the Spurs win the le and Tony still walks, so be it.

Tony has made it clear he will not babysit or play for a team that's not a contender. The Knicks will not beat Celtics/Heat/Magic...not even the Cavs. Playing with Amare, destroying his body for D'antoni's scheme, it's just stupid and will NEVER happen.

He didn't like being benched behind Hill? That's NOT what Tony Parker was saying 2 months ago.... he said he didn't mind it and would be happy with whatever role Pop assigned him if it's for the better of the team.
