I don't know the CBA as well as I used to (too "old" to recall and too lazy to look it up :wink ), but I believe that Tony is limited to a 6-year extension. Reason being that no player can be signed for more than 7-years on one contract and if Tony signs an extension he'll be signed for 1 (this season) + the extension. So, 7 - 1 = 6.And I think he's eligible for a 7-year deal because the Spurs have his Bird's rights.
