You guys are over reacting!so what if scola played better today.Scola is slightly above average in the NBA.He is not a franchise player and will never be.He is in his prime right now and at 30 he probably has 2 more years to go.Splitter is 25!thats 9 years younger than Duncan, 5 younger than scola.By the time he's 30 he'll probably be better than scola.Spurs did the right move.In 2007 we didnt need scola. He wouldve helped now but I doubt he wouldve helped us in 2008, 2009 or 2010 win a ring. He's not a difference maker.
Splitter will be fine. This guy is so young.Give him a chance.
~yup, with 450 players in the NBA. Scola is just barely above average, meaning he won't even crack the 150 spots for starters.

I fully expect Scola's stats to go down this year with Yao, Brooks, Martin, and Battier out there. Simply not enough shots to go around and scoring can come from any of the 5 positions. Defensively the team will be better with Yao clogging up the middle. But yeah...Scola sucks ballzzzzzzz!!!!! :LOL

I do think that if te rox are smart enough and learnt the damage the fronting defense does to yao, both in his game and physically, they will increase the number of post plays and shots for Scola even if Yao is on the court.
Yao comes from one year of not playing basketball, if you throw the guy on court, even if itīs 25 mins a night, and you make him work on every possesion the guy wont last 50 games again.
I personally would make the same approach the Spurs do with Manu and Parker.
Parker is the go to guy in the perimeter for the first 3 quarters so that Manu can play effectively in the fourth.
    They should do the same.
The Spurs and the rest of the league also thanks the rockets guards for not having an idea on how to play the pick and roll, that cuts Scolaīs offensive moves by a half.

Ahh but you forget, I fully expect Brad Miller to be playing on the second nights of back to backs and to play 20-25 minutes a game on regular nights. Miller has even stated that Adleman might try twin towers for a bit with Yao and Miller on the floor at the same time depending on the matchups.

Who will be coming out in the high pick n roll? Adelman?
By the time any of those came out the next posession has already been played.

Actually I see Yao and Miller cutting up and down on offense. One of them is going to get a mismatch. But yeah, don't expect to see this too much. Depends on the other team's personnel.
