Welcome to FSP, Stephen A. Smith.
OMG, I cant believe someone is actually typing this nonsense. He's had a long enough time off.
This sport isn't meaningless when it drives a city, when it puts food on the table, when it makes you a millionaire.
He lost his mother. I feel bad for him. But missing game 3 shouldn't have happened.
Whos food on whos table was he denying tonight by not playing???
The Sport is meaningless in comparison to life.
God wake up.
Welcome to FSP, Stephen A. Smith.
WHO THE ARE YOU TO SAY!!!!!nd getting game one and two off and then the break between games 2 and 3 is more than enough time to grieve.
how do YOU know how much time it takes.
Man, you, is all i can say.
you you asshole.
I'm ripping him for missing today's game.
Not game 1 and 2.
I can understand that.
And I send my best wishes to his family and him.
But he should have been at game 3.
It's his job. My mother didn't get all the time she needed when her mother died last year.
Exactly!!
Anyone who calls him out is just being stupid!! Its HIS MOM!!!
Empty Shock Value Forum.
My mother didn't get all the time she needed when her mother died last year.
ahhhh the truth comes out.
Jealousy.
Man it aint fair, MY Mom didnt get that, WHY SHOULD HE GET THAT
NOT FAIR
WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Ok Tarantino.
So 7 days isn't enough time to do what you need to resolve yourself of the death?
So if Tim's Dad died before the Spurs-Suns series this year and not in 2002, and then missed the first three games, you wouldn't be upset?
Please, tell me the truth.
No not at all.So if Tim's Dad died before the Spurs-Suns series this year and not in 2002, and then missed the first three games, you wouldn't be upset
Its his father, and I was totally suprised when he played in 02 in game 5.
No, Family comes BEFORE basketball PERIOD.
For you to ASSUME otherwise is downright hatefull and totally wrong.
That's DUNCAN you're talking about!!!
He's the franchise...Glenn is barely playing...how can u compare them?
Jealousy?
No.
Why should I care if my who runs her own business and is her own boss, decided to start working the day after the funeral.
It was her decision.
The thing is, how badly would it have effected her income had she continued to grieve a week or two more.
Life goes on.It doesn't stop for you when someone close to you dies.
This thread is sickening.
You don't know him or his cir stance with his mother. Did she die suddenly or had she been sick and he expected it? If she died suddenly, then maybe he needs until next season to recover from it. Maybe he just needs until next week. But no matter how long he needs, it doesn't matter. His employer (the Spurs) told him to take as long as he needed to get himself together. He's doing that. If they aren't questioning him, then you shouldn't be.
R.I.P to his mom.
Yep, so why stress over your 11th man missing 3 wins?
You are one cold mother er.
ing cold.
That's DUNCAN you're talking about!!!
He's the franchise...Glenn is barely playing...how can u compare them
WTF does it matter WHOEVER it is?!?!?!
Duncan, Ginobili, ANYONE should have as much time as they NEED, to grieve for a loved one.
Because:
A. If Robinson is allowed to miss as many games.
B. Isn't Tim as well.
But because he's the main guy, the franchise, he can't.
You see where I'm going with it.
With one man you give him all the time.
With another you don't because it'll hurt the team.
Now why the are you calling me out on being classless, not caring, etc.
Shouldn't Duncan have been able to miss the entire Seattle series if he wanted to?
But if he did, he'd be cursed to the moon.
Would I be upset that Tim missed the 3 games....no. I would be disappointed but in the end...it would be the right thing to do.
Exactly!!!
And its Big Dogg's deccision as well!!!
People greive diferently!
How would you like Glenn to play if his heat is not in it????
Just as "bad" as not playin!!
Uh no...most of us wouldn't have been upset.
Then again....most of us had or have mothers...most being the key word there....
While others of us(this means you)...were born when a dog defecated on the sidewalk..
Yes, he could have. But he chose not to do so.Shouldn't Duncan have been able to miss the entire Seattle series if he wanted to?
Amen Kori Amen. This thread is sickening.

R.I.P to his mom
Perfectly worded, and yes, R.I.P to his mother, I hope if Glenn decides to come back, that he is READY to come back.
Godspeed Glenn.
Because what if our offense was going cold, not working, and Robinson was the answer.
Yeah, you're just a ing asshole, BDB.
I hope you don't need any compassion whatsoever at anytime in your life.
He comes back when he's ready.
You seriously need to get your priorities straight. If he's not ready to come back, he'd be useless on the court anyway. Basketball is just a game. You may remember some people said this same when Timmy's dad died--they said he had an obligation to play because he was getting paid so much to play. that. I'd quit a job that told me I couldn't attend a funeral.
Uh no...most of us wouldn't have been upset.
Then again....most of us had or have mothers...most being the key word there....

lol great post Whottt.
I know I would miss alot of time from work, my mother is very special to me, and I try not to think about her passing on, because it honestly makes me sick to my stomach.
Anyone that can be this heartless about his situation is a, I dont know what.
But the thing is, because he's so important to the team, he wouldn't no matter what be able to do so.
The same people who are getting on me for being upset with Glenn for missing today would be the same people calling for Duncan's head for not playing and throwing the series.
It's that simple.
I'm not condemning Glenn.
But to me, 7 days is enough time to get your emontions in check and be ready to perform at your job.
