I gotta disagree, the guy gets calls that Duncan should be getting but he's not Duncan, the only guy that got to the line more than him was Duncan.

There were at least a few times he wasn't fouled and got to the line.....
Duncan also isn't taking it to the basket like Amare. How many banked jumpers did Duncan take and make tonight? Amare can hit the jumper, but he tries to take it to the basket with such force that all you can really do is foul. Duncan has such a good perimeter game that he doesn't allow himself to get fouled as much.

But since both are superstars, they are going to get the calls.

And only 22. If he's putting up these numbers now, just wait until he's 30.

The late Cotton Fitzsimmons said during the rookie camps Amare's rookie year "This kid is an amazing basketball player. And hopefully in the next couple years we can teach him how to play basketball."

Many don't realize that he only played one full year of high school basketball.

Amare has been extremely impressive. He is basically David Robinson in his prime on offense. Unfortunately he has nowhere near the defense, rebounding, or class that Dave had.

That's what I was thinking. DRob would have averaged 30-40 pts/game easy with a PG like Nash.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

Amare is an amalgamation of two great Spurs -- Robinson on offense and Gervin on defense.

This guy really irritates me with his iness. Since Dallas lost I'm rooting for you guys because I can't stand Stoudemire and would love to see him lose.

Why hate? He's a phenomenal player. The only thing that irks me about him is his mouth... saying that he's better than KG and whining about not being invited to the three-point shootout because he has a good long range shot :

Give him a break. He's 22 years old. He only went as early as he did in the draft because the Suns wanted him badly. Portland was the only team with him even on the radar. Defense will come, and the defense you're talking about is the SUPER HUMAN Tim Duncan shut down defense--although Duncan hasn't even been able to stop Amare. He'd average more rebounds if he didn't play side by side with Marion and have to guard centers all the time. He gets the blocks and as he continues to mature and develop I believe he'll best Kevin Garnett as a defender.

As for the pushup, put it in context. He made a great play, was fouled hard and while he was laying face down on the court, he thought he'd get more of a work out. Seriously, he's got a good personality and for the screwed up life he had until the NBA, he's actually turned out to be pretty decent as a human being--no worse than Shaq.

But again, he's only 22 years old.

I just don't like that Suns team. He has a little bit of that Shaquille at ude that made me not like him. I probably would think differently about him if he was on my team.

It's one thing when others believe you're good, it's another when you believe you're good. Basketball is more mental than physical, imo.

    NO

the heat and pistons are tied at 2 each
so a game is 6 is not that bad

so they still will get plenty of rest if they lose tonight

They can if TD and TP play their regular game and Brent Barry hits 3-4 threes. Manu will be Manu, Horry, Nazr and Bowen will play their game. Brent? It is his time again. Barry plays big, Spurs win. Barry not a factor.....get ready for game 6.

who cares if they get enough rest.. I want this series over.. the more wins that the suns can get, the more confident it makes them. Lets not give them any hope... close it out.
