That would definitely be one of the better perks of having the Royals down here. I'd be able to see them play some of the more 'elite' teams and not have to pay triple the prices you get at Staples and spend too much time on traversing to either/or Laker/Clipper matches against the better teams.
If this goes through, the league should force Sterling to sell and then move the Clippers to Seattle, Vegas or KC. The Clippers should have made a move on the Anaheim market years ago and set themselves up as an alternative like the Angels did with the Dodgers.

I don't understand why the Maloof's would want to come to Anaheim unless they figure they can make more money. I agree the Clippers should have staked out Anaheim as their own when Staples Center opened. Obviously Sterling figured to make more $ in LA. That said, the Royals/Kings would develop their own fanbase and have two new rivals. I could see the Clippers falling to third most popular and finally leaving LA in a few years. Changing name back to Royals is a good idea, they only took the name Kings when they moved from Cincinatti to KC/Omaha to avoid confusion with the local baseball team. Their team history; one le and Oscar Robertson's, for one, retired jersey, were achieved as the Royals.
A lot of cities don't have pro-basketball: Seattle, Pittsburgh, Cincinatti, Vancouver, Montreal, and Las Vegas. Some failed already, some never had the chance.
