"We're talkin bout Practice"
You also forgot that he doesn't play defense or practice and he definitely isn't a good teammate.
"We're talkin bout Practice"
Have any of you guys watched ANY 76ers games this past season??? Iverson took his game to the next level, played with a maturity that I have never seen him play with before, continually came up with clutch shots in the 4th quarter, litterally put the lottery bound team on his small back and carried them to the 7th seed.
Put Wade on the 76ers, and they'd end up around the same seed or lower then they are now.
Wade would get his teammates more involved. It is not all about scoring. Korver would be getting more open shots. Webber would get better shots and etc. Philadelphia I predict would have been the 4th or 5th seed. Alot of players can't coexist with Iverson.
Iverson averaged about 7-8 assists per game, and had many games this season with 10+ assists. How much more do you want him to involve his team-mates?
As for a lot of players can't coexist for Iverson? I can tell you first hand that I have not heard a single Sixers player this year say anything bad about Iverson. Guys like Korver and Igodala are always talking about how much they admire and respect AI's game.
Anyways, I am done arguing with the Wade vs AI debate. It's all a moot point. Just like people comparing him to MJ, etc. Right now, the way I see it, Wade is a very talented player who has the good fortune of playing alongside Shaq who has been a great mentor for him. He has quality team-mates and an excellent coach. Veteran guys like AI, who have been through a lot to get to where they are now, who have so much heart and experience, are in a class of their own.

You'll never prove Wade is better than Iverson so just![]()
Iverson is a stat guy. Wade makes his teammates better.
I fear Wade more than Iverson knowing what he could do to opposing teams. Iverson always has the ball in his hands so of course he would get 8-10 assists.
Steve Nash proves that stats are overated.
Yeah thats what point guards do.
If you can't figure out Wade is a better team play than Iverson than it's not even worth giving logical explanations of this. Wade even last year had more success than Iverson. Iverson will never win a championship or even be close.
The only way to win with Iverson is to have a great defenders like Mutumbo and etc.![]()
Right, he clearly proved that stats are over-rated after being the first to average nearly 20+ points and 10+ assists in the postseason for 6 games straight. Oh, and winning that MVP trophy also proved that his 12+ assists are overrated.![]()
The only way to win with Wade is to have great defenders like Alonzo, Shaq, heck, even Eddie Jones, etc.![]()
You are letting Iverson's past and reputation cloud the facts. I will admit, in the past he never would have won the team-player of the year award. But if you have watched and/or followed the 76ers this year, you can see that he has clearly matured and was playing at a level that was even greater than the year he won MVP. I agree, Iverons will never win a championship---and it's not because he's not a great player, it's because he doesn't have the help and coaching surrounding him.
If you put Iverson instead of Wade on Miami do you expect him to shoot 49%. That is tough to do even if you are on a great team. Wade also shoots 80% from free throws. Stat padding on a bad team doesn't make you a great player. Wade has to share the ball with Shaq and Eddie Jones so his scoring average is not as high as it could be. Also Nash had more success when he scored less. Other teams forced him to be more of a scorer and it was tougher to get other players involved which wore him out usually in the 4th quarter.

What wore Nash out in the 4th quarter was him playing 40+ minutes all season long and not having a reliable backup. As I mentioned before, this is all moot. Dwayne Wade has yet to accomplish many of the things AI has: MVP award, being the captain/leader of a team, carrying your team to the Finals, winning a scoring le, etc. I am not saying that he won't win any of these things. However, Wade is only in his second year, I will continue this argument with you once he wins and gets to the same level Iverson, Nash and others have gotten to. Until then, I will never agree with your assessment that Wade>>>>>>>>>AI. Let's just call a draw for now.
I'll agree to disagree with you and we'll leave it that.
. Works for me. Good debating with you, however.
PS, I am right, you are wrong![]()
