How sweet would that be if Tiim and the core members called Pops headgamey ass out.
JuggityThe counterargument to that would be of course that Duncan, Ginobili, Robinson, Parker, Bowen, and a few other excellent players have made up for Pop's obvious shortcomings by being incredible in their own right. Now, in Duncan's twilight years, with less help and fading natural abilities, Pop is playing a bigger role than he ever did during the championship years, and his personal failings and shortcomings are being unfortunately exposed.Nicely said.
2008-on.
2006 on really....
We have a chance to win because of Tim Duncan, then Manu, then Tony in that order.
LOL at us suddenly being good because of Pop.
How did those teams turn out? You're making a point, I just have no idea what it is.
Pop's got a system, 4 rings. Bonner is playing great D and finally assuming the Robert Horry role. Even if Splitter were ready this year, he's expendable because our rotation is so solid.
Bonner is playing great D, the best of all the Spurs bigs, and is completely failing to put any pressure on either Gasol or Randolph. Expect five more close games where neither of them ever foul out or have a shot blocked. That's hamstringing the out of your team, particularly when the Thunder are going to have a week to sit around and rest while the Spurs try to eke out a series win.
Blair is a beast, a force to be reckoned with. Lookout NBA, here we come!
