Finally got to play it this weekend and its actually playable unlike GOW2, lol. I took a lot of getting used to again because of playing COD all this time. I love this game because if you dont use team work then you are going to get raped, and if you win you are lucky (unless you play against complete noobs not working as a team, lmao)

That's why I explained that I'm a beast at Gears 3, I kill a lot of sawed off users but the way they play is just boring. I mean I bought the game to have fun, that's why I play video games, to have fun, but some people take the game way too seriously, to where they sacrifice the fun just so they can win a match. I don't mind campers and like that when you're playing a clan match but during a regular match?

This is how ALL the sawed off shot gun users play:

-Hide behind walls, Pop out when someone comes by to shoot them. If you miss, run like there is no tomorrow and hide behind another wall and force the person to rush you. You miss again, run again and repeat.

I don't know about you, but I hate doing repe ive stuff, and that is repe ive.

I used to play compe ive Quake 1 and Quake 3, but got bored of compe ive FPS when the military style shooters came out. At least in Quake 1/3, the player speed was fast enough to inhibit camping, and the weapons were actually fun to use. I even went to a DC con tournament while vacationing (1997), and managed to qualify for the 1v1 seeding, only to be destroyed by the N°1 seed, Gollum (who later turned pro) (my excuses- I didnt play at all in the weeks before the tournament and had to play on a borrowed computer the organizers hooked me up with). At that tournament I noticed most of the top players played with no textures and ridiculous FOV, that also turned me off- to me a large part of what made the game awesome was the art style and atmosphere, but these guys only cared about FPS and hitboxes. still, those were the good old days..

Same with me, but I wasn't that great at 1v1. I was a pretty good CTF player though.

I'm going to cancel my reservation, only because of that piece of sawed off shotty.

I HATED Gears 2, the last time I played it was a month after it came out. I wasn't bad at it either, I was a beast, checked my stats yesterday and I won 89 matches and had 24 losses with a 2.3 KD ratio.

I'm a ing beast in Gears 3, took me about 2 hours to get used to it but after that I just rape teams by myself regardless of their level. After a day of playing it I've got 1600+ kills and 800+ deaths, and 44 MVPs out of the 130 matches I've played. Although I'm good at it I just can't stand the sawed off. Whoever came up with that needs to be slapped.

All people do with the sawed off is hide behind walls like pussies and pop out to shoot when you get close enough and if they miss they'll run and hide behind a wall yet again, they do the over and over and over again. They won't rush you either, you have to come to them and when you do it's a 1 shot death, it's really frustrating and boring. I mean I bought the game to have fun, but these mother ers play this like if they die in the game they'll die in real life.

Pisses me off too. I didn't play Gears 2 much online since everyone just used Gnashers.

I'm about 90 kills away from unlocking my Gold Retro Lancer for retail...but man this will be a pain in the ass with everyone running around with shotguns.

i love gears campaigns. always the most fun i have with coop. but thats about it. the multiplayer is annoying and boring. shot shotty shotty, camp etc. simply its not any fun. ill be playing campaign and then on insane and thats it.

No horde mode? Horde mode on Gears 2 is my fav co-op mode of all-time.

Gears 3 will have Beast Mode where you play as the Locust. Can't wait to be a ing ticker running up and exploding people.

I'm about 90 kills away from unlocking my Gold Retro Lancer for retail...but man this will be a pain in the ass with everyone running around with shotguns.

To me its not that bad. If they are far enough away, they will try to rush you and hitting them with a HB,lancer, or R.Lancer will stop them.... now if they are close you have to switch or run away to free some ground to repeat.... I like to plant a smoke to cover my flank. It wont slow them down, but it will alert you.
