I ONLY go to the 16 theater on NW 410... it;s the "dollar show".
16 shows @ 1.50 a show = best weekend possible.

not to mention that the matinee is .75 cents and Tuesdays are .50 cents all day.

How crowded does it get?

Well, I may be able to get in free tomorrow. If so, I'll fork out the $$$$ for popcorn!

friday early show and saterdays anytime after 5 is pretty crowded.
but at those prices..........

sundays are really good, med. sized crowd.

and anyweek day is great.

It was hilarious. I ordered the bucket of popcorn combo w/ 2 cokes without looking at the price. I handed the guy a $10 and he says, "Um....it's $13.25."
I'm sure he was thinking, this lady never gets out!!

see! never ever order without lookign at the prices.

Buy a big creen TV......solid sound system and DVD.....a few nice chairs....and charge admission to your own little blockbuster theater.

, that's a uva purse....it would be great to sneak a 12 pack in...and i'm sure i could kill that in an hour and a half....but it's the fact that i'll have to piss halfway through the movie that keeps me from doing it......well...and the fact that i don't have a purse....

Something tells me you could walk right up to the theater box office with a 12 pack, a pizza, and a quarter bag and they would let you right in.

I usually do look at prices but I was ordering popcorn and 2 cokes....surely a $10 would cover it!!!

Yeah, people makes loads of money of concessions - I do graphics design at Ricos, who does the concessions for the SBC Center and a bunch of movie theatres, and I can tell you that the price from us to theatres is ridiculously miniscule compared to what the theatres sell them for. I mean, I understand markups, but Jesus. Although it did crack me up when I found out that Ricos makes a nacho cheese line called "The Profitmaker".
