Samuel is the only above average defender we have left. I can't believe Diego didn't play him again after he recovered in the WC. I disagree that Otamendi is any good at center-back. He's slow footed and just doesn't have the experience. You need more than just grit to play there.

Guess they want him him ready for those early rounds of the Carling and FA Cups....he'll play good.....fans will get excited....he won't do anything else in the league and get loaned out in Jan.

Simple, new white stripe look.
These were nice and simple too, and you can't tell on the pic because of the resolution+size but they had the AFA shield embedded/grooved/can'tthinkofwordI'msearchingfor on the entire front side.

What I like about the Germany one is the little longer back, and the golden lines. Plus the material is the nicest of the 3 IMO.

Defensive 4 are not very good, but it also depends on who will be the defensive midfielders.
If Argentina is going with Mascherano and Banega as a "double" 5, then it would be ok, I guess.
Batista tried with the following midfield: Mascherano, Banega, Biglia and Pastore.
I haven´t heard from Biglia in a loooooooooooong time. He used to be good at the U21NT.

I'm not a big fan of the new collar on the home uni though, just seems to not fit to me with the other modern details/look of the jersey. I like the use of the collar when it fits the uni, like the typical England jersey.
I'll probably get the new one too. The guy that works at the local Soccer Post is from Argentina (San Isidro), and he always gives me a discount.
