Dirk, KG never came close as the man.
you comparing a guy who had 3 out of the 8 man rotation with injuries that got them a ring playing without a bench...u know u got to play with when haywood, butler and bb is out injured for the playoffs, and you have to settle for mahinmi, cardinal, peja and JJ....
the problem with KG wolves was his contract and the FO doing to build around him and under the table that cost them draft picks, then again if the owners had no problem payin KG max contracts, why couldnt they attract FA to come play with KG since money isnt an issue for the owner? KG was basically a one man team posting up meaningless stats. Look at the bigs he played with how there numbers went down playing alongside him, then numbers going back up again when they left the wolves....ppl love to bring up his got a good passing game judgeing by his assists comparing him to dirk/td, but their respective teams are always creating that extra pass for the offense which started from the lowpost outlet pass...
you sayin give him a closer, whats wrong with the guys he had around him during his wolves days?
Dirk, KG never came close as the man.
Dirk has had more team success than KG and he's been productive, and Dirk has been relied upon to be the number one guy, where KG settled into a team concept. I think these are the two best players of this generation of the second-tier players. Second tier meaning your name's not Kobe, Shaq, or Duncan.
