I lived in Northridge during the Northridge 7.0 earthquake in 94.
Good luck to everyone in Cali. Are they saying that these smaller quakes are pre-shocks to something bigger?

I'd be pissed if I lived in anything but blue on that map.
I'm a science geek, and part of me would love to experience a big time quake as long as I was safe. But I'm also the kind of asshole that would love to be in the eye of a hurricane and go tornado chasing.

Before i left to come to work earlier Kori they were talking about how many of these little earthquakes maybe pre shocks.
Man when the northridge earthquake hit i was terrified that was skeeery i think im still traumatized from that. Plus those aftershocks lasted for months on end.
My mom laughed at my behavior...besides having the laptop next to me i was curled up in a fetal position watching the news. She basically laughed at me and then yelled at me to go to work. This crap dosnt affect her...im a wuss when it comes to earthquakes. Damnit the ground isn't supposed to move.

ME DAMNIT. See i love roller coasters cuz i know what to expect, and when its gona happen. These earthquakes are like nasty lil suckers that sneak up on you. I need to be ready and in control when the earth moves damnit!
I hope everybody in CA is ok. All I'm going to say is that somebody recently said they're coming back to Cali after a year off. Everything was fine in CA until that happened.
I hope everyone in Ca. stays safe. I agree IILL, the ground is NOT suppose to move.

yea my only gripe other than the ground moving is the prices out here...after i graduate if i choose to move out i cant afford to live out here if i want to have the life style i want.

I had such high hopes that Coach K was going to go out to LA last summer and pull a Tark...getting fired just a few games into the NBA season. Quin Snyder would quit at Mizzou and go run the Dookies into the ground. Coach K could then try to build up some scrub school like Cal State Northridge into a powerhouse for the rest of his career.

Lol im assuming you hate the dukies...but CSUN was actually in the NCAA tourney i think 3 or 4 years ago, they weren't that bad of a program. But its sad im a student at CSUN right now and man there is no school spirit. Im a huge fan of sports but i would never know when games were. I'm still pissed at the president for killing our football program.

I don't hate the Dookies explicitly...I can't stand those coaches that are bigger then the program and start acting like it. That short list includes Bobby Knight and Rick Pitino. Although if Rick Barnes ever starts bringing home serious hardware to Austin, I'm sure I'll make an exception.
I was so f'ing shocked that Coach K even considered the move to LA. All I could think of was that everyone at some level is a for the money, and the great Kryzeweski was no exception.
Isn't Northridge the school Jim Rome used to make fun of for having porno casting flyers in the Student Center?
Have you ever experienced one? Have you experienced the distruction that they can cause?
I'm not sure about all that cuz i never caught him saying that. But i know for sure one of the fraternities got kicked off of campus for filming a porno tape at their house, and i believe were circulating it online and using the school name. Needless to say they are still not back.
