IMO............ Tim needs to actually use his size. Im sick of these horrible fade aways, turn around j's, and hook shots that never seem to go in. I don't wanna start any bashing here, but I think he's not the king of the PF/C position like he use to be. Forget Shaq we all know he is, but I think to get back to that level he needs to play like KG, and Amare Stoudimeire (SP). Duncan looks like a weak ass out there........ it's true. He's having his worse playoff career FG% wise and PPG. It can't all be the ankles. I wonder how the Detroit D would stop a KG or AS.........

You guys are WAY OFF in your analysis. The last two games have not been about Duncan's ineffectiveness. The problem the Spurs have had has been TURNOVERS! Detroit has been pressuring them relentlessly once they cross half-court and causing San Antonio to cough it up. The difference in turnovers is what the deciding factor in these games have been.
Tlong's on track. Pistons had 4 turnovers last night opposed to Spurs 18.

This sums it up: from the daily dime on espn.com

    Tiny Tim
Tim Duncan's performance tonight was the quietest 16-point, 16 rebound game I've ever seen. He played as if he accepted the way he was being played tonight and that's unacceptable. He accepted being fronted, being played aggressively and double teamed by the Pistons' frontline.

Instead of just being dominated he should have taken an offensive foul to get better position, because that's what great players do. When the Spurs sit down and look at the film of this game, he has to be ashamed for not being more aggressive. He has to look at himself and say, I'm a superstar and can't allow myself to get shut down.

Duncan has been called the greatest power forward of all time by some, but I can't see Charles Barkley or Karl Malone accepting taking such physical punishment without dishing some out themselves. Duncan has to stop being so passive and get in the mix with the Pistons and stop getting pushed around and bullied.

Shaq might have been able to throw Ben Wallace around like a rag doll but TD is no Shaq. Wallace only gives up 20 lbs to Duncan and has the edge in strength.

Duncan can't just physically move ben wallace out of his way. He can however use his footwork and deadly assortment of post moves and glass shots to take his game over or around Ben.

I don't know what the is so hard about foul shooting...How do you miss so many consecutive foul shots in one of the most important games???

Duncan ALWAYS does this though...He will miss his first of the many to come on the front rim. Next shot, he shoots, but hits the same exact spot...off of the front rim.
Next time he's fouled, misses yet ANOTHER on the front rim....then thinks to himself..."Gee, I've hit the front rim on my past 3 foul shots, I wonder if I should put just a little more on it....NAHH!" ....Shoots again...front rim again...

WAKE THE UP TIM, the rim isn't gonna move for you, you have to avoid it.

I could understand if he misses his second foul shot because he put too much on his shot, but he doesn't ing change.
