El Che has said it before. Spurs look good early cause they are old professionals and kept in shape during the lockout. As the rest of the teams get in shape, the Spurs will fall to the back of the pack. Where they belong.
Same BS they said last year when we started fast and we only feel due to injury and that's a fact. With a healthy Manu, we beat the grizz and we matched up great against dallas if we got past thunder. If dallas beat miami we sure as would've. Our guys will get in better shape and play better also.

I'm not going to bet my house on a championship, but I think it is possible. If the young guns grow up quick, and the Spurs can make one more move and get another decent big that can score a bit down low, bang and swat some shots, the chances go up quite a bit.

Tbh, I don't think a team has to have a dominant big to contend anymore. The league has evolved into a guard/sf style of play now, that is why while impressive, Dwight Howard and Griffin are not overly impressive to me. Those guys are in the right place at the right time, in a league with declining or watered down big men.

Get a big that can guard the paint and board and that is all you need to win a championship if the other pieces are in place.
