Not really. Brees outplayed your boy. The Vikings were a much tougher team compared to that Colts team.

Patriots * * *
Saints *
Manning played fine in that game. The rest of the Colts team not so much. But it's clear now that without their dip bounty system, Favre wouldn't have been hobbled, would have waxed their asses and then thrown four picks to the Colts defense on the road to a blowout Super Bowl loss to Indy.
I bet that Black & Gold Kool Aid you're drinking sure does taste good though.
yeah Kirk is right that Vikings team was overrated like crazy. Peyton woulda shredded that pass defense.
Typical Peyton scro-licker response. Always blaming his teammates when he couldn't get it done.
Brees still outplayed Peyton when it mattered.
That Colts team weren't nearly as good as their record. They had the 6 best point differential in the league despite their 14-2 record. They also managed to beat two wild card teams in the playoffs. The Saints were the better team throughout the season and also in the Super Bowl when it mattered. If your Colts deserved the trophy, they should have beaten the Saints but they couldn't.
The Vikings were a much tougher matchup for the Saints than the Colts could ever be. Vikings could run or pass and matchup well with the Saints o-line. Peyton would have thrown the ball against the Vikings since that team always struggled to get a pass rush on grass, but the Vikings would have scored their fair share as well.
Either way, enjoy knowing that your choice for SB champs got beat by two TDs.
I'm surprised nobody ever got alarmed by the 'remember me hits' back in their super bowl year.
Why would that "alarm" anybody?
Yes, all NFL players say the same old "never want to see injuries out there blah blah blah" but the fact is every defensive player plays with bad intentions. Technically, what the Saints did was against the rules, but it doesn't change the fact that defensive players play to intimidate/hurt the offensive players no matter what they say
