Rosie and the Originals had saved up their $$$$ to pay for a recording seesion. The night it was to take place Rosie was sick, she had a cold. The $$$$ had already been paid, they would not be getting it back so they went ahead and recorded. Rosie could never duplicate what she sounded like on this their most famous recording.

Too bad she didn't have GarageBand on her Imac.

One of the most covered tunes in history.

The original, Luke Jordan one of those Piedmont players.

In 1927 they sold cocaine in drug stores.
From what I understand, the widely covered song, Cocaine Blues is not the one that Luke Jordan did. According to Wikipedia, Jordan's song was called, "Cocaine" or "Simple Wild About My Good Cocaine". Apparently, Jordan was wrongly credited for the song on Dave Van Ronk's record.

If you're going to represent yourself as an authority on something, at least have the courtesy to Google it first to get your facts straight.

    Step your game up slick.

My guess is that you'll now intentionally screw up your facts so you can act like it's part of your troll's schtick.

And he's not covering "Cocaine Blues" which was widely covered. He's covering Jordan's "Cocaine".

As we all know music is all about iufluenses, so and so heard so and so and on and on. It's a hand me down thing. "House of the Rising Sun" was first recorded in 1928 by Texas Alexander, A different version with the same le in 1933 by appalachian banjo picker Clarence Ashley. The most famous recording by The Animals. Stagolee, Stack O' Lee, Staggerlee another tune played by many with Lloyd Price having the most famous version. The first recordings with different versions were recorded by Ma Rainey, Harvey Hull and Long Cleve Reed, Mississippi John Hurt. John Henry..another tune with various versions on the theme.

Luke Jordan is the daddy of the "Cocaine Blues", he was the influense, he was the one that put Cocaine on record. He planted the seed. It's all about influenses.
Too bad you didn't phrase it that way in your original post on the subject. You wouldn't look like such a defensive little dumbass right now.
