And apparently, Bum has missed the 100 posts i have made where i said the Lakers are non-contenders as currently constructed. So i guess for me no Ron doesnt change anything for me.
He is I dont dispute that. but Marion played him well and he still went off yesterday. Durant is a volume shooter who gets to the FT line a ton ESPECIALLY at home. Ron is coming off a suspension and will have to tread lightly anyways.
My point is, whether Ron plays or not there is a decent chance we would of lost both games anyway. With Ron i think a split is possible, though unlikely without him the chance dips slightly.

Also im with the guys from ESPN L.A. ...the Lakers are not good enough to deliberately let down for a few games to allow Artest to be back for OKC Game 1.
the extra game(s) would be MORE detrimental than not having Ron tbh. If I am wrong and Lakers ARE contenders 1 or 2 less games may help against OKC, Spurs or Heat ... especially if OKC sweeps Mavs. They are already younger and faster no need to make them better rested as well. Lakers need to try and sweep. I dont think they are good enough to do so, that is why I picked Lakers in 5.
LA are contenders. Their team has a legit shot to go all the way. It's silly to put it all on one game IMO. They have a stacked team, the best front line in the NBA and Kobe. They have two bigs capable of getting triple doubles.
They might not go all the way because they have to face OKC in the 2nd round, but that doesn't make them not contenders - it just means they faced another contender and lost. Contender to me means you wouldn't be shocked if they went all the way. To me, LA fits that criteria. I think they can beat OKC too if they play the right way and get some contributions from 1 or 2 bench guys.
OKC will beat them in 5 or less. We can bet on it after LA beats Denver in 5 and you pay up![]()
Oh, we got a comedian on our hands boys............Thanks for the tip though, sorry I couldn't see it before it was too late.
A contender to me, is a team that has a "good" chance at winning a le. With rose hurt I say the teams that fit are:
1. Heat
2. OKC
3. Spurs
Best of the rest:
4. Lakers, 5. Celts 6.Grizz, 7.Clips are dangerous teams but cant win 4 series. Lakers and Celts you give an edge from this group because they have done it before but they are aging ...
normally one game would mean little, but here is why it is important. Lakers have players like Sessions and Hill who are in the rotation that are unproven in playoff road situations. The team has been crappy on the road. Though dangerous nuggs are not an elite playoff team. If they cant beat them on the road how will they win in OKC? sure Game 4 works just as well they only need a split to win in 5, but for ME to change my perception... a win tonight i necessary. If they win 4 and 5 all they did was meet my expectations, not exceed them.
No...but i think tbey take 4 and 5
So let's bet on tonight. I get LA, you get Denver. $50.
I'll take that bet. I'll pay with cash and you pay with ass.
Denver gets out and runs tonight. After being the best offensive team in the League all season they've fallen off hard these first two games, which bodes well for a bounceback in front of the home fans.
Paypal me the $500 you owe me, then we can bet again![]()
U trying to hedge, b?
Deal.
Bynum is finished, GK is thinking of starting Mozgod.
If that happens, number 17 may as well stay home.
You guys are so unfair to me man. No one else gets treated this poorly. You know me being pinked and stripped of my rights to embed youtubes and stripped of my right to talk to Kori has more than squared me with the board.
You guys want me on my knees like a judge rendering verdict against a man in a spousal abuse case
Lawson had 25 points on 11-17 FGAs. They still lost.
Would be a blowout if he wasn't, Gallo & Aflallo were playing like they were on the Bobcats
Lakers bigs are too good. And Kobe is not chucking.
Lakers got this in 4.
