i knew he had to nut up eventually, he's too good not to
Who would have said that Brent will come up big in the BIGGEST game of the year.. he re-earned my respect.
i knew he had to nut up eventually, he's too good not to
Absolutely keep Udrih. Develop him - he has a great outside shot and can share PG/SG duties off the bench with Barry. He's a talent and if we do let him go at some point, his value will just go up every year.
ALL our Spurs won this!! Aggie, I hate to turn this negative, but you suck as a Spurs fan. You give no credit to Timmy or the other guys. Tim got 25 ing points!! More than anyone on the ING COURT! You're always posting bull Aggie. Just admit you suck as a Spurs fan and go crawl back in your hole.
Hmmmm. 14ppg on 46% and fantastic defense.tony parker sucked again in the finals......he better step up his game next year 20pts 10assts or pop WILL trade him.
He showed me some things this series, that even when he is sucking on O, he can contribute.
Brent played huge during a critical stretch and was instrumental in getting Billups to sit with foul trouble early. As others said, this one game erases a lot of the bad we saw in him during the season. He should only get better next year.
Biggest game of the year and Bones showed up. The dude shut alot of us up.
That is true. If Parker can just develop a jumper, it would totally open up his game. The sky is the limit for him if he gets a consistent J. He would be unguardable.
Dude, he is 23!!!!!!
Another great playoff series by the future superstar...Tony Parker! LMAO!!!!!!!!!
Darn Tootin - Brent played well, i knew i was sitting there hoping for a good game from him and he delivered!
How did Kobe do in the playoffs this year?
Very good game by Brent. This should give him a lot of confidence for next season and then he can be as good as we all know he really is.
That is what I told my friends after the game. Barry played a damn good game and esp defensively. Tony pissed me off.
Tony played awesome D on Rip in the 4th after the switch was made. So he didn't totally suck. Brent had a good night but he didn't exactly "save the day".
Timmy, Manu and BRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCE saved the day.
yes. Brent Barry has now earned my undying support. In the biggest game in Spurs history, he shook his nervous look and was ready to ball. I've been waiting for that switch the whole season. On the three pointer that he hit, he actually didn't fade on the shot and try to run back on defense before he released the ball. He caught the ball, set up and drained that MFer.
He's clutch. It took the biggest game in Spurs history to see it, but this mang is clutch.
He's officially off my shyt list for life. He now joins my list of players such as Stephen Jackson, Mario Elie and Steve Kerr.
Props, Billion.
Mad props.

Beno's not that bad, he's a damn rookie. He did a good job this reg season. Why trade a guy that is real value at his cap number. I really hope that tp works on that jumper.
If he can consistently hit the 3 he becomes almost unstoppable.
Keep Beno. He'll be the backup PG next season. For a rookie, he played well in the playoffs as a whole.
Brent Barry played a great game.
It looked like he fought through a bunch of screens and defended well. He hit some shots with authority. He inbounded the ball... scratch that.
He was out there like he wanted it. This was the Brent Barry that we all expected; maybe this is a sign of what's to come...![]()
big nuts.... big nuts......
Barry was un ing beliveable...
I was happy to see his pops there.
Redemption IMO for a wierd year for him.
If he would have stunk it up and we lost.

But no, Brent Barry doesn't have any balls.![]()
Now that Barry has finally worked past all his own expectations and achieved his goals, he can finally get back to just playing basketball now. He showed last night how he can be a huge roleplayer for this team, just like everyone was expecting when we signed him.
Agree with all the good things about Brent.
Game7 was his baptism of fire, and I sure to hope he feels, ring-adorned, fully "Spur-ified" and integrated into the Spurs organization, finding the confience on which to Keep Up The Good work next season.
Go Brent Go
I'd say two changes made this win possible:
1-doing a better job fighting over/through the pick on the high screen. I haven't reviewed the game yet, but it seemed Detroit wasn't able to get those great mismatches as much this game. Good job by all the guards on that.
2-Putting Bowen on Chauncey late. Grounded his ass good.
Nice job Pop.
3-and oh yeah, throwing a zone up a few times.
