With Tony Parker laying an egg, Brent Barry stepped up huge.

HUGE Game from Brent. He played a nice all around game. I love it.
i was thinking about it.
people said nobody was there to save parker but... barry came from nowhere and did it.

When we got him... i was a huge fan for about 3/4 the season and then I became indifferent... i said, "if he shows up in the playoffs, then he was worth it... i'll save my judgement for barry until then"
he stepped up in game 7 of the finals and played aggressive... proud of him and he was worth the money spent on him.
When we signed him I said "If he plays likre all season, but comes up big to to help us win the finals, I'm all for it"
I should shut up the next time we sign someone
I am just glad he didn't try to jack up threes on the tight D...this was the type of game he plays off the bench...
Barry is a PG...we need to let him do this a little next season...preferably before we get to the last 2 games of the damn NBA finals.
If only we'd kept Shane Heal last season...sigh.
Brent played good enough tonight. Parker did too.
Brent played better than Parker in the Finals..just like Claxton played better than Parker in Finals.
Like I said after the regular season when everyone was down on him: "He will come up big sometime in the playoffs!"

We messed up the entire season, brent is really a point guard and a damn good one at that.
Mission accomplished Brent! Those number do him no justice. This guy completely turned it around after that Seattle series. What a special performance.

Talk about irony. The guy was everyone's favorite goat all year long, then he nuts up and plays his best game of the year in game 7 of the NBA ing Finals.
He Might Have Saved Himself From Getting Traded
Brent match very well with Manu. Tony doesn't.
Brent Barry's defense was excellent tonight and he had a very timely 3 pointer in the seconf quarter I believe.
I don't think Barry is a sufficient PG only because he lacks speed.
As far as Parker goes, as long as he can carry us through the regular season (which he did) he can be as inconsistent as he wants during the playoffs because we undoubtedly have guys that will step up and do the job when they need to.

Parker was amazing defensively. It's half the game people.
That was the 2nd best game Brent Barry has played in a Spurs uniform, behind only Game 1 of the WCF. Beno is going to be expendable, because Barry HAS to be backup PG next season. When he is on court with Ginobili, things happen.
I am willing to give Brent a pass for the whole season because of this one game. Congratulations,Whottt.

I have a deep down feeling that Barry, next year, being more comfortable, being more used to everything, will REALLY break out.
Parker played good D and ran the offense. Sure he sucked ass shooting tonight but he did other things just like Brent.
that, you have to keep beno, he rocked all season long as a rookie, let beno be the main back pg and let barry swing back and forth between the guard positions
