you dont understand how helpful it is to have veteran leadership in the locker room late in the season and in the playoffs, plus they add depth just incase of injury which is why if the spurs were able to sign Kukoc to a vet minimum contract I woulnt mind that at all

As a third string point guard and emergency shooting guard, I'll go for him at the minimum. But he can't expect to be anything more than a 11th or 12th man.

Jon takes some ill-advised shots at times but his hustle and energy is always there. I've never heard of him as a lockerroom cancer or anything so he would be a good pick up. I just couldn't imagine what it would be like to see two Barry's on the same team.

As the towel waving 11th or 12th man with a cameo during the season, sure. I'd prefer JBarry to some project at the end of the bench. He's much less hesitant than his brother to take big shots.

Yeah, he did. He played extremely well against Detriot.

John is decent enough, but you're better off developing Beno and letting Barry slide over as necessary. Besides, Jeff Van Gundy seems pretty clear that their new draft pick won't be getting much playing time for awhile, so I expect they'll keep Barry around if they can.

guess you missed the NBA finals?

One Barry is enough. Two Barry's would turn us into the SA Clowns.

Wake me up when he can hit 4 or 5 threes and bust a playoff game open.

    Jon > Bones

I'd like Jon Barry deep on the Spurs' bench. He's a guy who is not afraid to shoot and he will hustle a little. Nothing too special, but he'd be nice to have available during a playoff run.

    Ignorant?

What the has Bones done apart from underperform? He choked the season away and his playoffs were rocky at best. Clearly he is not the same player in spurs offense

Jon had the better season and the better playoffs. He's a scrappy player who has guts, Van Gundy loves him.

How can you say Jon would have done better than Brent w/the Spurs?? They have a totally different system from the Rockets. My guess is he would have done worse, he would have been completely lost in the Spurs system. Not just halfway lost, like brent

exactly Marcus, most of my FA suggestions are the ones that will be 11th or 12th men on the team; the spurs have succeeded over the years because of the depth of their bench

and since the spurs will probably lose Tmass, wilks, marks(who said he wants to go back to NZ and play again), and probably glenn robinson

the spurs need to get reliable vets to replace them like jon barry, oberto, scola, kukoc, or another SF; because like Pop said that some of the guys wont be back next year, its a business and we the fans have to understand that

another vet pick up could be Mutombo
