    Matt Ryan is content with the one playoff win. He won't play with as much ambition the way he did against Seattle.
    He finally has the weight of the world off his shoulders and he's one win away from the SB. Yeah, sounds like a real ambition-killer

    The NFC was just better from 1984-1996. They had 5 powerhouse football teams for all or some of those years: Walsh's 49ers, Parcells' Giants, Ditka's Bears, Gibbs' Redskins, and Jimmy's Cowboys--they were all stacked with talent and (with the exception of da Bears) were coached by some of the greatest football minds in history. The Bills were the best team in 1990 (and were heavy favs), but the Giants devised an excellent gameplan and beat them. You know who the architect of that was? None other than BB, who duplicated that feat in 2001 when they were a 2-td underdog to the Rams. Still, that was Buffalo's only real shot at a SB. That 1991 Redskins team is one of the best in NFL history, and the Cowboys of the early 90's had a greater collection of talent on all sides than perhaps any team in history.
    Those Lombardi Packers of the early 60's and those Steelers of the 70's had the best talent all there at the same time not the Cowboys of any era. Just look at all these Hall of Famers off those Packer/Steeler teams...

    Packers

    Bart Starr
    Jim Taylor
    Paul Hornung
    Forrest Gregg
    Jerry Kramer
    Willie Davis
    Ray Nitschke
    Herb Adderly
    Willie Wood

    Steelers

    Terry Bradshaw
    Franco Harris
    Mike Webster
    Lynn Swann
    John Stallworth
    Joe Greene
    Jack Ham
    Jack Lambert
    Mel Blount

    What other team had nine HOFers all there together? And as we see almost evenly divided between offense and defense.

    I really do love how Avante keeps spamming about the Pats/Niners Super Bowl that's "definitely going to happen"... with his ful takes and lefty-esque jinxes, it gives me more hope of seeing a Ravens/Falcons matchup, tbh
    Can't talk about the 49ers, but Patriots could very well lose to the Ravens this Sunday. Hate to say it but Brady has always looked sub-par playing against the Ravens and the Giants.

    Fellow Niner fan/card collector calls me after the Niner win...

    Oscar...I got a Kaepernick rookie double, what ya got to trade?
    Me...how about a Maurice Jones Drew, Doug Flutie rookie, second year Walter Payton and a third year Joe Montana?
    Oscar...that's it?

    Yep, that's where he's at right now and if..ah...when he wins the SB ..wow! At the beginning of the year ya could have got his rookie card for the price of a coke.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Imagine beating...
    GB twice
    Seattle
    NE
    Atlanta
    .......all in the same season.
    So who wants to tell me how it's all about the pass...? Play that D and have a solid running game, win the turnover battle, that wins balls games.
    The Niners the third rank rushing team, the Ravens the thirteenth, both ranked higher than their passing offense. Both beat superior passing offenses.
    Opening line....Niners - 4.5
    Just because I can, the Niner running backs.
    I can't remember which TV guy said that Kaepernick was the fastest QB in the league. Seriously doubt he's beating RGIII at any distance.
    So where was that ambition again?
    I really thought you learned your lesson by now about challenging my takes.
    Being a life long Niner fan has been a roller coaster ride. Down, then up then down now up. But we will tie the Steelers for most SB wins...6. We have had as many great players as any team and the best QB to receiver duo ever and you can go with Montana or Young to Rice.
    Today I go trade some cards for a Kapernick rookie to go with my Montana, Young rookies. I do wish I had Youngs USFL rookie.
    If ever a team was tailor made for that Niner defense it's the Ravens.
