Might as well bring in Damon Jones I'm sure he's looking for work.
Boobie Gibson.
Is this the ing end of the world? What am I reading?
Might as well bring in Damon Jones I'm sure he's looking for work.
Gibson must be a smoke screen, imo.
Ah yes, many a GM has been fooled by the old Boobie Gibson smoke screen.
My big question for Gibson and Red is can they advance the ball against Eric Bledsoe's pressure? If not, then I don't see the point as we've got good enough outside shooters.
Wow, I never did think about that possibility. Interesting...
How about Jamaal Tinsley?
He's been starting for Utah for two months.
Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA J.J. Re and his wife own an off-season home in Austin, and with chance to win, prospect of trade to Spurs is beyond appealing to him.
Interesting....
Chris Broussard @Chris_Broussard Detroit out of running for JJ Re , source says
Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA
Milwaukee has fallen back in pursuit of Re , league sources tell Y! Sports. Bucks aren't out of it, but "less likely," one source says.
I remember during Game 2 vs OKC re tweeted about the spurs
paraphrasing but it was something like
"I'm not a fan of other teams, but I really love the way the Spurs play ball"
Damn, now I want him on the team especially after hearing how he loves how the Spurs play and his Austin connection
Re is a limited guy in many ways, but I think he makes sense here for a number of reasons, including my perception that he can credibly space the floor to discourage teams from packing the paint completely -- I don't know that a streaky guy like Green does that until he hits one or two -- and the fact that he's got late round experience already. In a sense, he strikes me as sort of a poor man's Brent Barry, who can force a defense to respect his ability to hit from distance while also providing some semblance of playmaking in the second unit. Clearly, if they get Re , there's a dangerous glut of wings here and you'd think that something else will happen too. But I think Re is actually a help here if this goes down.
By the way, since it's being so widely reported, my assumption is that this has absolutely no chance of happening.
That narrows it to Pacers, Sixers, and Spurs. No way Sixers give up a first pick so it could be the best deal for Re is between the Pacers and Spurs. Seems like it would be a two player swap to get close on salaries for the Spurs. Indiana assets not much better. They can offer a little higher first round pick.
I like the Brent Barry comparison
and greens inconsistency is the only reason i dont believe in him
hasnt changed at all in 2 seasons
the All or Nothing name he has fits him perfectly
i usually check his first shot and if he hits it then he probably is gonna have a great game
if he misses it then have a 0/7 type cleveland game despite how wide open the looks are
and on May 30th Re tweeted this
"I don't root for other teams but the basketball lover in me really enjoys watching the Spurs play. Seems like every play is the right play."
Also was asked on twitter last year who he believed would win it all and he said the Spurs

I'm too lazy to look up stats. Percentage-wise is Red better than Neal? I know Red is famous for having top-notch mechanics.
If its Blair + first round pick for him then I'm down. Weak draft.
Re is no Bruce Bowen, however, he's a giant upgrade on defense from Neal. I would classify his defense as decent, along the same lines as Diaw.
this proves to me though they either have no faith in Green or Neal.
the shooting guard spot is truly the least of the spurs' worries... but red would be a decent upgrade over neal
While I don't dislike the idea, it doesn't make me that excited either.
I'd like them to try to get another player from the Magic if they do trade with them, thinking of O'Quinn but it's probably a long shot.
Bonner + Green + first and second for Red and O'Quinn?
Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA Despite efforts, Spurs will fall short in bid for J.J. Re , league sources tell Y! Sports.
From 3: Neal slightly better on a career basis (Neal .403; Re .398); Re much better this year (Neal .358 (64-179); Re .390 (117-300)).
Again, I doubt this happens.
