George W. Johnson's "Laughing Song" recorded in 1895 is considered by many to be the first. I suppose i could mention W.C Handy had one of the first some years later in 1912.

Mamie Smith's..Crazy Blues ...from 1920 is the record all us blues historians consider to be the first.
