I've always liked Shaq. He was dominating, fun, and played the game the right way for his position. My only real problem with him was his being out of shape in LA, but it honestly didn't hurt his game much so I guess wgaf...

Timmy is the last of the dominant big men. We don't have another in the league right now and probably won't for a while. Shaq understands this, and he also has a ton of respect for Timmy as a player and a person.

Shaq's feelings for Duncan aren't the same as they are for Robinson's, tbh..

Shaq has always respected Duncan, and even if he didn't, he would still elevate Duncan's hype to inflate his own legacy..

You're a fool. Any Spur Fan worth his salt has never hated Shaq as a person.

Fundamentally true, but I don't think Shaq is that smart (at least consciously). Very easy to say someone is good when they've actually beaten you.

    20 and 11?

Try 20 and 14, with 4 assists and 3 blocks. At 37 years old. And this was basically a warm up game for him, testing the waters to see how far he could go. The heat have very little in the way of defense for him. I think Splitter is going to heat up as the series goes along as well.

Shaq has grown on me over the years. His retirement speech was funny as , and who can forget Bearded Pop rolling out the Hack-a-Shaq five seconds into the first game of the season a few years back? Even Shaq couldn't help busting out laughing.

Shaq - the opponent - was fun to hate. He was the ultimate villain and played the part perfectly. A friend of a friend who played with Shaq at Cole introduced me to him and he was very cool. He wasn't in the NBA yet and was starring at LSU but he was genuinely nice. He has a great sense of humor and handled fame the best way he knew how. His comments about DRob were ugly but he may have been really hurt by what he perceived was a "slight".

The way I heard it, Shaq and some friends were hanging in the parking lot of a night club (they weren't old enough to go in) and saw DRob coming out. They started toward him and wanted to talk to David but David wanted to go home as soon as he could and not hang around in a parking lot. So he kind of waved "hi" and took off without having a prolonged conversation. Shaq took that as an insult - as a high schooler!!.

I think he means Duncan consistently hitting his career average night in and night out.

I grew up in Orlando right around the time the Magic got Shaq. I loved the guy, used to go to games, etc. I still have a ball he signed. I didn't hate him until he left for LA. Because I was a Spurs fan too I continued to hate him because I hated the Lakers. Once he went to the Heat though I didn't care anymore. Now I just think he's funny.
