When he's in SA, he always has a few minutes of localization.

Ditto for me. I used to find him really funny, now he's just doesn't seem very funny to me.When he first started out I thought he was pretty funny....now I don't really find him funny at all...he changed something....

Man I agree. Gabrial Iglesias is freaking hilarious!! I saw his show hes in SA in the spring; the dude had everyone
What makes him funnier is that all his stuff is improv. He said he really doesn't rehearse; he just gets up and tells a story
My wife and I got to talk with his mother after the show for about an hour. She was a real sweet lady!!
Carlos Mencia is soooo NOT funny.
How many Mexican comedians does it take to tell the same joke, but in a different way?
I'm sick of the racial jokes, mainly black and mexican...they are just old. They are not original, aren't funny, at all. I thought this dude was supposed to be funnier than he was...
Why can't comedians bring their own jokes? Anyone can make fun of mexicans...that's the only thing you see on comedy central now.
The only funny mexican comedian is George Lopez. Mencia is a joke.

It's not even about his jokes, it's about the way he acts...facial expressions, etc.

Carlos Mencia isn't Mexican. His family's from somewhere south of the Mexican border (Honduras, if I recall correctly).
Which makes his Mexican jokes that much funnier.
I wouldn't go that far...Lewis Black doesn't shout at the top of his lungs...just clinches his teeth really hard and points when he wants to drive home a point....
And the reason George Lopez is funny as , is because he doesn't tell jokes...but rather....really....really...funny stories....huge difference...

it ing blew though i was so dissapointed...norm mcdonald used to be so freaking hilarious....Dirty Work is one of the best constant-laugh movies to watch when you're stoned....he was funny in billy madison even though he had a little part

He's Mexican, he calls himself a Mexican. But he just doesn't stick with the Mexican jokes, he cracks on everybody. If you've seen his standup at Rivercenter you'll know what I mean. Thats why I like him.

upon viewing it again i thought it was moderately funny. the verizoon commericial was very funny and i keep saying "keyaheeminahhh" to myself constantly

Jokes about someone's race, someone's heritage is not funny.
It is cruel and degrading.
To speak down on one culture or to categorize an entire race into one single stereotypical joke is tasteless and uncalled for.
I am personally disgusted by anyone who makes jokes at any race.

Carlos Mencia is a funny mofo, he is raw, he really doesnt care who he pisses off at his shows and thats what i love about the guy. Then to top that off, he's pretty down to earth after his shows, he actually goes outside, signs autographs and takes pictures with you. I personally cant stand George Lopez, i mean his stand up comedy routine was funny the first time, but after that every single show he did was the same material. He needs to come up with new stuff, Carlos actually uses the news as his basis for his comedy show so most of the time its a new show your watching when seeing him live. His show is hilarious and his stand up comedy is even better.
Oh man its people like you who want to baby proof the world and have no jokes about certain races and stuff. Come on man lighten up do you really think that god doesnt have a sense of humor? Everyone knows these guys are just comedians paid to make us laugh, and jokes about different races and cultures are some of the best ones. Be open minded for a change you might find life is much better that way.

I caught an episode last night with the gardeners. Carlos was calling one guy a " " as my wife walks by. She just happens to be Mexican, and she flies off the handle when she hears that word.
She was pretty pissed off the rest of the night.
I personally find some of the show mildly funny, but most of it is just boring.
see i think thats just funny and i mess around with people like that cause its so easy to piss them off. Unless your wife is a Mexican born in Mexico and came over to the states she really has no right to get all offensive over the word . But that episode was funny
I don't find him funny at all, and his show is not that great. Then again, I base my comedians on a George Carlin scale of funny.
Swishy McJackass' wife isn't from Mexico, but she is a very nice young lady.
Mencia used to have something edgy about his comedy, now it's just about telling worn-out race jokes (ie, not edgy anymore).
Have you experienced a religious awakening or something, your posts have drastically changed recently.
mencia is funny as . get his dvds and you will know. he has always yelled and talked from his 1st hbo specials in the early 90s. most of the people who get pissed off are the very people he talks bout. funny . he talks about s, s, ######s, honkeys, crackers, white trash. what do u want? doing no more than what richard prior or chris rock ever do/did which is make fun of their race, thier lives, and other races. love it when he goes off on stupid people.
For those of you that get offended by his jokes, I recommend his cd: Take A Joke America. quoting mencia: "If I offended anyone tonight, I would like to say f- you" or "I would like to start the show off by saying I apologize for everyone I'm about to offend".
lopez is kinda the same way. only thing is with lopez and mencia now other people have discovered them so they have to keep retelling their old material to the new listerners. mencia's show is based on all his dvds.
i recommend the new 3 amigos dvd that was just released. 2001 show in austin right after the sa show. is funny. RIP-Freddy Soto.

That's funny becuse he's more of a than your wife is yet she gets offended at a joke that has nothing to do with her.
You aren't racist when you make fun of yourself and everyone else, racist is when you make fun of one race maliciously...
