The sound in my computer went out

So now none of my USB Ports are working!!!

Ugh!

What the is going on??

I keep getting this message bubble:

A USB device has exceeded the power limites of its hub port.

Click on CONTROL PANEL

Double-click on the SYSTEM icon

Click on the HARDWARE tab

Click the DEVICE MANAGER button

Click the “+” next to Universal Serial Bus Controllers to expand the selection.

Right-click and select PROPERTIES on the Intel USB UNIVERSAL HOST CONTROLLER (not the USB Root Hub)

Click the ADVANCED Tab

Check the box that says: “Don’t tell me about USB errors”

Did you reboot? who put in the sound card?


and It would help If I knew your make and model number. most PCs have a sound card built in the mother board. If you shorted it out? chances are another part of the mother board went dead also, Do you have any USB ports on the front cover of the Pc?

Restore your PC to an earlier date so I can know if it's your drivers or not.

I did restore my PC ...but no suck luck....

take out the sound card and re boot, let me know if the USB's start to function again.
