bron's stats go down in playoffs because he's too brilliant during the regular season. most superstars don't go out in full strength in the regular season and will tank some games preceding the playoffs, while the Lebron you see is always the best he can be. Defense turns tighter and tougher once the playoffs begin so it's nothing abnormal to see players' stats go down a bit imho
He just chokes. Michael Jordan's stats were astronomical in the NBA finals. They actually went up. See for yourself: http://www.nba.com/history/players/jordan_stats.html

since y'all want this to be a kobe vs lebron thread.

all i know is this. this is how kobe is guarded by the best defensive team in modern history in the playoffs

now this is how lebron was guarded, lebron is being left wide open and guarded one on one

its no wonder wiggins wants to play kobe. he's gonna learn a lot from one of the best players with a high skill level and great fundamentals. the only thing he'll learn from lebron is how to bulldoze defenders and hope you get a foul and the right way to flop

Lol. Using highlights to illustrate points.

Btw, the lakers lost in 08 and some bitter fan blamed illegal defense.

i would use a highlight if i want to. its far better than any of y'all stupid responses, well not you, you actually gave some solid takes but i disagree with them. ill break them down later.

Advanced stats would be a nice start. I don't mean PER which is really an amalgamated number of regular stats given random weightings. But things like win shares and offensive defensive ratings.
