Just hope big daddy TC comes available in the market one day and I bet Cuban will be the first to show up and make a bid for him tbh.
This.
I wouldnt want him on my team for free.
If Melo ends up on the lakers…wow..two of the greatest most overhyped ball chuckers in the entire history of mankind on the same team…what a catastrophe![]()
No love for D.Blair?

Can't wait for D-Wills contract to run out...He should go to the Lakers too!
How about Melo to Washington?
I hope fredo does it. gonna lead LA to historic lows tbh.
With both of their husbands living in L.A., does that give Kobes and the Lakers a better chance to land Marshmellow?
Kind of reminiscent of the Milwaukee big 3 of Allen, Cassell and Glen Robinson...
Also kind of reminiscent of Marburry + Francis...
Edit:
Duh, also kind of reminiscent of Carmelo + Iverson...
Did Melo like playing with Iverson?

I agree with this guy here^^^That last part is a good question? I know they got ALOT better when they got a real PG later in Billups and went further than they ever did with a true leader out there (IVY gone of course).

Not sure I want melo. But to say he is NOT one of the most gifted scorers in the game is crazy. And the game is still about getting more buckets than the other team. Sure he lacks defense but he is also a good rebounder. Lakers team is filled with middle to bottom rotation guys anyway so they should not mind Kobe/Melo taking most of the shots. he is not my 1st choice ... but Lebron nor durant are coming to the Lakers.
I could see that. Melo grew up in Baltimore IINM, Wiz has young prospects NY could use, either Otto Porter or Beal, not both. Only issue is salaries won't match, Wiz would need to send Nene too but with NY paying Chandler, Amare and Bargnani $45-$50 mil, I don't think they're ready to add another $13 mil. Unless they ship Tyson somewhere else since he's their most valuable piece at this point.
NY is so ed up.![]()
I don't get it personally. The Lakers should wait for the next pissed off MVP level superstar to want out from his small market hole, like Shaq or LeBron. For instance, Durant in a couple of years. The Lakers don't have to just take what's available, being a franchise in the most desirable market in the country, with the best endorsement opportunities, and that is constantly on ABC, TNT, and ESPN. Carmelo + Kobe - Gasol + garbage is a second round team at best. Better to get some draft picks and to save up cap room when your team is one of the few that can pull marquee free agents.
if kobe makes 24, melo makes 20, how much would Pau sign for? considering the cap is going to be somewhere around 62-63 million tops. its also dependent on if they use the stretch provision to waive nash, in which case you tack on another 3 mil to their payroll, as opposed to 9 if he stays
That's why I put minus Gasol. No way he's taking less to continue being the franchise scapegoat.
ah, i didn't catch the minus. whats hilarious is that if they actually are dumb enough to keep nashy around, and assuming melo gets the max, they will be at 53 million with just those 3 guys, giving them 10 mil to fill out the roster. they wouldn't even be able to retain a guy like jordan hill who is actually playing well
Beer and buzzed..5 isn't that muxh...damn I'm a light weight
Problem is, every NBA coach thinks he can coach talent. Every NBA coach thinks he can get Melo to play within the system.![]()
